About the lesson My lessons are tailored to each student's skill level and goals, whether you're a beginner learning the basics or an experienced player looking to refine your skills. We’ll cover everything from essential techniques like strumming and fingerpicking to advanced topics such as soloing, music theory, and improvisation. For electric and bass guitar students, we’ll explore tone shaping, amplification, and various genres. My aim is to build your confidence through hands-on guidance and practice, ensuring that learning remains engaging and enjoyable. About me I’m a passionate musician with over 20 years of experience playing acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, and 15 years of teaching others to share my love for music. Growing up, I spent 8 years playing in a church band before heading to university. Although I went on to study engineering and then human resources, I continued teaching music — whether online or face-to-face. Have you ever listened to a song and wished you could just pick up a guitar and play along without checking the chords? My lessons will give you the tools to play by ear, enabling you to join in effortlessly and confidently without relying on chord charts. Whether you’re picking up the guitar for the first time or refining your technique, I offer a flexible and personalised approach to help you achieve your musical goals.

Hi everyone! At the start of each class I will be seeing where we are at, and how we are feeling, and I will be asking for any improvements to make sure you’re satisfied. DON’T BE AFRAID TO SAY ANYTHING! Asking questions is the main thing for a successful future. I will be delivering revision notes at the end of each class as a recap and will be setting homework. Understanding that you have school work to be doing, it is not required to do it, however, if not completed I will test you in the next class to make sure you understand and if not we will go over it ! For students who are younger - parents are always welcome to sit down with you! Seeing the pace of every student I will then make my way accordingly through questions and examples for you ! My way of teaching will be altered for each student so everyone can get the best tutoring possible!!
