I've completed my GCSEs a little over a year ago , I'm on here to fund myself in the future (primarily university) .
I've averaged above an A (above grade 7) overall with recent experience and am still attending sixth form . Because of this I'll be able to easily relate to and figure out the needs of my tutee as I was in their position not too long ago .
I myself studied based on topic rather than necessarily textbooks , this means that I can make due with any textbook or other material (this accounts for difference in exam boards).
I can teach a concept from the ground up , or to solidify knowledge on topics as well as teach the basic principles for understanding the topic in the first place . I'm especially good at understanding and taking advantage of mark schemes to maximise grades , despite if the topic is completely unbeknownst to you . Though this seems minor , this tactic means you'll almost never score zero marks on a question . Ergo : if you can do half of the questions on a 100 mark test you'll get around 50 marks (high C to low B grade , grade 5 to 6) however even without understanding the rest it's easy to get at least another 15 marks up to around 25 (you usually cannot get over half marks without getting close to the answer , which is why half the remaining marks is a typical maximum) putting your grade up to to a minimum of a strong B or a maximum of a solid A (min of a grade 6 and max of grade 8) all of which requires minimal work which you won't forget . In English a similar thing can be done with punctuation , so long as you use a type of punctuation once ; you can score easy additional marks and get more marks on other criteria due to the examiner's bias . This is my forté .

I'm from Poland but have been in London since age 2 , finishing secondary school and currently attending college (sixth form) .
As a hobby I'm slowly learning Japanese and can understand German though I've stopped learning German , at this point I can understand and speak basic Japanese to a level where I could get by as a visitor . I've always been interested in the schematics of life and how things function and due to this I have a good grasp on most fields , documentaries on everything from chemistry to the Humanities and even literature interest me so I study them . I enjoy teaching others about the topics I feel passionate about which is why I'm on here too . I've gotten good grades at GCSE (all average of A) , I go into more detail in the course information , and I am confident I can recreate the same with my tutees .

For Linguistics and Phonetics you will go through your university course assignments with me, we shall do "Chomskian trees" and we shall discuss theoretical points (eg GB theory, minimalist program). For Phonetics, IPA symbols and phonetic structures and theories (auto-segmental phonology and optimality theory). WARNING: there are many approaches to these theories, we shall go by what has been adopted at your university.

English SL and Higher Level for the International Baccalaureate is a rigorous course, especially for ESL students. I completed the IB with HL English and received a 7 (highest mark) in my final exam. I will be able to go over both Standard Level and Higher Level syllabuses for the course specific to the material covered in your school, and prepare you for mock and final exams. I will include essay writing skills, literary criticism and analysis, as well as vocabulary expansion techniques in my teaching. A brief overview of the key features of English SL/HL as set by the International Baccalaureate Organisation:

• Higher level study requires a minimum of 240 class hours, while standard level study requires a minimum of 150 class hours
• Students study 13 works at higher level and 9 works at standard level from a representative selection of literary forms, periods and places
• Students develop the ability to engage in close, detailed analysis of literary works, building understanding of the techniques involved in literary criticism
• The study of literary works in context is emphasised, and through the study of literature in translation the student is challenged to reflect on the role of cultural assumptions in interpretation
• Students are assessed through a combination of formal examination and oral and written coursework.
• The formal examination comprises two essay papers, one requiring the analysis of a passage of unseen literary text, and the other comparative response to a question based on two works studied
• Students also perform an oral activity presenting their analysis of two works studied
• HL students comply with an additional written coursework requirement which consists of writing a 1200 - 1500 word essay on one of the works studied

A private tutor and coach for 10 years, I created my own coaching method with my colleagues Thibault and Charlie. We support many students full-time, systematically ensuring progress of at least 4 points on their average.

What allows the student to really progress is the repetition of the exercises to have automatisms. 1. Create a work framework and routine: we help the student plan their weekly work and send them the necessary exercises, corrections and course materials.

2. Availability at any time: so that the student never gets stuck, he can contact his teacher to ask for a hint for an exercise or a quick explanation by message.

3. Support and motivation: we help the student see their weekly progress and ensure that their motivation remains high throughout the support.

Here is how our students are supported:

After an initial discovery call, the student takes an initial course with their tutor to take stock of their situation, identify their state of mind (motivation levers, confidence) and their room for improvement (gaps, methods not mastered, inaccurate writing, careless or calculating errors).

Depending on the student's assessment, the tutor recommends a tailor-made formula combining private lessons, adapting the number of hours per week and daily remote support.

Daily support focuses on training in REAL CONDITIONS: alone, without course materials or a teacher and with limited time.

The student then sends us their copy, and we provide them with a rigorously written answer key, the corrections for their copy, and their grade the same day. They can then immediately learn from their mistakes and redo the assignment perfectly. The goal is to learn automatically.

Through repetition, this method allows the student to:

- Never get stuck on a question during a DST again
- Improve your time management, by getting used to working in real conditions
- To improve the rigor of its writing
- To reduce the number of careless mistakes

In addition to the training sessions, each coach supports the student through private lessons or telephone coaching sessions, depending on their challenges. Coaching sessions provide time management advice, review work completed, and define future goals.

This monitoring allows us to be as close as possible to the student in their revision, being contactable at any time and being very responsive in correcting their copies.

This method allows us to guarantee a rapid increase in grades: on average, +4 points on the average in less than 6 months (see the numerous testimonials).

The results of this method compared to traditional private lessons are significantly superior. It has allowed many students to go from an average of 11-12 to over 16.

You also have real-time access to the student's work schedule and monitoring of their progress (grades, exercises worked on, concepts and methods acquired) so that you can have an overview of the work carried out and your child's progress.
