About Me

I'm the director of a trilingual (Chinese/English/Hungarian) kindergarten in Budapest, where I lead a staff of eight and oversee around 36 students. Alongside that, I teach Chinese and English directly to children, and I tutor secondary and university-bound students in Chemistry, Biology, and Math.
I came to teaching through scienc, I hold a Master's in Chemistry with a focus on Medicinal Chemistry, and spent time researching computational polymer science before moving into education and school leadership. That background shapes how I teach: I care about students actually understanding a concept, not just memorizing it well enough to pass a test. At the same time, running a kindergarten day to day has taught me a lot about patience, how differently people learn at different ages, and how to keep a lesson structured without it feeling rigid.
With older students, I focus on building genuine understanding of the fundamentals, working through past papers and exam technique, and adapting the pace to what each student actually needs — whether that's steady term-time support or focused pre-exam revision. I also help students preparing for university applications think through their subject choices and how to present themselves well.
With younger children, I focus on making English, reading, writing, and early math feel natural and engaging rather than like a chore — lots of repetition, encouragement, and building confidence step by step.

Education

MChem in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry, including a research project in computational polymer science using molecular dynamics simulations and polymer informatics methods. Also hold an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, completed as a trilingual student across English, Chinese, and Hungarian.
