Hello, I'm Diana, and I offer tutoring in math and physics for school students.

I understand firsthand the challenges students may face, as I, too, had my share of difficulties until I met my math tutor, who inspired me and showed me the brighter side of mathematics. Despite struggling with depression, I motivated myself through high school and achieved the highest scores in my finals. Thanks to my exceptional performance, I earned admission to one of the world's top universities, where I am currently pursuing my studies.

Throughout my high school journey, I learned and mastered the effective teaching methods used by my tutor, and now I apply them with my own students.

Listening, patient, each session is broken down as follows: a reminder of the course, an explanation of the methodology on "classic" exercises, tips and tricks and several practices.
Objective: An understanding of the course, methodologies and a perfect application in routine.

Depending on the interest of the student, I also relate these areas to everyday life and some trades to bring a new perspective on maths.

This class is for english speaking students that wish to enhance their performance in mathematics (mainly for high school). Calculus, Algebra, Functions, Probabilities will be the main topics covered. Regarding the study progress, exercises will be at first solved with me and progressively I will give the student autonomy. I believe that practice makes perfect (after learning the theory), therefore the goal is cover as many exercises as possible during class.

I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Particle Physics at the University of Amsterdam. For over 8 years, I have been offering private tutoring in Mathematics and French. I firmly believe that mastering mathematical logic and a foreign language opens up numerous opportunities for individuals who are willing to invest the effort. One aspect that I particularly enjoy is the challenge of adapting my teaching methodology to suit the specific needs of each student. Over the years, I have developed a strong rapport with my regular students whom I have been assisting for an extended period of time, and I am eager to expand my circle of students.

MATHEMATICS:

1- Developing logical thinking and fostering independent learning.
I consider my job well done when students no longer require my assistance after three classes.
2- Cultivating abstract thinking and enhancing application skills.
I believe that understanding how to utilize mathematical tools is advantageous and beneficial in any field.

Science is an incredible discipline, without limits, to the point where it is possible to get lost in it. This course therefore proposes to work on the bases and knowledge of Maths - Physics - Chemistry and to make the link with the use of these in the real world. Understanding where and how science is used is essential to be able to learn and move forward. Being an engineering student of Arts et Métiers, I worked with sciences since small and I always had a certain facility which allowed me very quickly to explain how to advance to other people.
This course also offers a rise in competence in the use of Excel which is essential for a lot of work in analysis and it is a real added value to know how to handle a minimum of Excel.
