As a therapist I know how to deal with learning or other problems of any kind. So I deliver custom work, for children as well as young people and adults

What does a lesson from me look like? Well, that is always a surprise and never boring! My starting point is coaching, so I always work on a good relationship and developing or strengthening confidence in my own capacities, or Empowerment. Everything else comes after that. A lesson of mine is otherwise varied, with relatively short, but very intensive learning moments, and in between small breaks with some distraction.

This could be a conversation about something else, or a joke, or an anecdote, so that you get the best out of your concentration and the material remains manageable. I also often work with music, or poems, or paintings that are related to the subject matter, then it sticks better and it is just great fun. I am very inventive and original, so with me you are drawn into an adventure every lesson!

About Me

I am Lotte, pleasantly insane!
That's a joke, but I am quite an exceptional creature, if only because I am a real multi-talent: Social, intellectual or creative, I am a jack of all trades and an all-rounder and my interests are just as multifaceted.

I am curious and have a lifelong hunger for knowledge, so I learn every day and that makes me a happy person. Boredom doesn't appear in my dictionary and besides my job I enjoy singing, dancing, writing poems and songs, doing a lot of research and my equally curious circle of acquaintances. Mostly artists and academics, but also truckers, construction workers and car mechanics, it doesn't matter to me, as long as it's fun.

For others I am a motivator and inspirator par excellence, extremely creative in everything I do, outspoken empathy and involved and my passion and drive to learn things are contagious. Add to that, a sense of reality and a solid personality, the much needed sense of humor, a dose of genuine Amsterdam courage and the picture is ready.

You can be sure of one thing: my students can not only learn a lot from me one by one, but in the meantime also have a lot of fun and discover how fun learning can actually be!

My education is just as versatile as my personality and I have enjoyed it. Actually I am never finished and I still do a lot of research in the most diverse fields and disciplines. I passed my VWO in adult education, with an average of nine and the subjects Dutch, English, French, German, History and Economics I & II. I have studied at various universities, also abroad, in the areas of English Language and Literature (MA, Cum Laude), Literary Studies and Psychoanalytic Psychology (Master's program, in England), (Post) modern Philosophy, Women's Studies, a university certificate NT2, a number of subjects in clinical and developmental psychology at the OU and a diploma in pedagogy for primary education. At home in all markets, except for the exact sciences, although I now also know a lot about modern technology, because I think it's great what is possible now.

I have a USA teaching license and a Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Inclusive Education (Grades K-6 and Students with Disabilities) from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
