Trusted teacher: Welcome to my introduction site! My name is Marta and music has been a great love and passion for my entire life. Singing lessons are not only an opportunity to learn singing and something new about music but also an opportunity to express emotions, forget about everyday worries, and have fun! Through music theory lessons you can learn about the structure of music and also develop some very useful music skills such as reading music (sight-singing or sight-reading). All students who have a specific goal in mind, but also all who do not have any specific goal in mind and want to sing or learn theory just for fun, are very welcome! Different options for lessons that I am offering are described below and all of them can be modified and adjusted according to the wishes and needs of the student: SINGING LESSONS FOR CHILDREN (individual or group lessons - maximum 10 students*) Singing lessons for children is basically an integrated method that combines singing with solfeggio, developing basic music theory skills. It consists of playing musical games and singing children's songs and those developing intonation, musical hearing, musical memory, sense for pulse and rhythm, all with attention to healthy singing. SINGING LESSONS FOR TEENAGERS AND ADULTS (individual or group lessons - maximum 10 students*) During singing lessons, we will be searching for a deeper meaning of the story and different ways of interpretation, with attention to healthy singing techniques, pronunciation, and style. The lessons consist of breathing exercises, and vocal warm-up exercises with a specific technical goal and work on the desired repertoire - meaning of the words and story, vocal technique, pronunciation, interpretation, and style. My specialization is in classical singing but I don’t mind working on other genres in my classes. SIGHT SINGING LESSONS (individual or group lessons) Intense course where you will be learning how to read music at sight. The lessons consist of sight singing only, beginning from the easiest level and gradually learning how to read more and more difficult music. You will develop skills needed for sight singing as well as a certain way of thinking appropriate for sight singing. (There is no technique of singing or interpretation involved in these lessons.) SOLFEGGIO LESSONS (individual or group lessons, for children from 8 years old, teenagers, and adults) In these lessons, you will learn how to bring written music to life (sight-singing), how to discover and put on paper the music you hear (musical dictation), and how to build scales, intervals, and chords. This knowledge is needed and examined in every conservatoire and music academy. For some conservatoires and academies, this is an obligatory pre-requirement and elimination factor on entrance exams. It is an inevitable part of every professional music education. MUSIC THEORY LESSONS (individual lessons) Music theory lessons can include, if desired: solfeggio, harmony, counterpoint, music form, analysis, and/or other music theory-related subjects. For each subject, we can make a special program, depending on the wishes and needs of the student. COMBINED SOLFEGGIO AND SINGING LESSONS Combined solfeggio and singing lessons are also possible for adults, as separate subjects or integrated with singing lessons. In both cases, the duration of each lesson is 90 minutes and the program is discussed and created based on the wishes and needs of the student. (A combination of individual singing lessons and a group solfeggio lesson is also possible.*) AUDITION TRAINING AND PREPARATION FOR EXAMS (individual lessons) Preparation for auditions concerning singing and/or music theory includes preparation for entrance exams, regular exams on conservatories, or preparation for ABRSM exams. *Please, contact me for more information about group lessons. I have been playing the cello for almost two decades and I can tell you it is a beautiful and rewarding journey, and I would not be where I am today without a group of extraordinary teachers and mentors that have been with me along the way and shared their wisdom and experience with me. Now it is my turn to share. I have been teaching for a few years and I love watching my students develop, enjoy the cello, learn new things, and become better at expressing themselves in the universal language of music. Whether you are a complete beginner or an intermediate/advanced level player, I would be happy to offer my guidance and perspective on anything you want to work on and improve. Aside from the technical part of the playing process, I can also be helpful in talking about performance anxiety, specifics of the music major education, preparation for auditions, building up your social media, etc. Contact me to set a lesson using the form below and I look forward to meeting you! Studio Policy This policy is in place to protect the student, the parent of the student, and the teacher and serves to ensure that lessons run smoothly. Lessons/Payment: Students may enroll in lessons at any time. Lessons will take place at the teacher’s studio in Vienna, Austria. Online lessons are facilitated using Skype/Facetime/Zoom. Tuition is paid monthly and is calculated by multiplying the lesson rate by 4 weeks (3 or 5 weeks for certain months). Additional lessons are allowed based on the teacher’s availability. If I am traveling for a big portion of the month, I will let you know in advance, so that the tuition for that month is multiplied by the number of weeks I will be at home. Single lessons in the form of a consultation or master class are available if you are not ready to commit to a monthly package. If you have special circumstances that prevent you from taking weekly lessons or traveling to my studio, please contact me directly and I will do my best to accommodate your situation. Tuition is to be paid at least 24 hours in advance of the first lesson of each month. Tuition is payable through Apprentus. For the consultation/single lesson, a one-time lesson fee is to be paid at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson. Your timely payment serves as a confirmation of our time agreement. If I do not hear from you nor get the payment at least 24 hours before the lesson, I reserve the right to reschedule and/or cancel the scheduled lesson. Tardiness: The student will contact the teacher by phone if they expect to be late for a scheduled lesson. If a student arrives after their scheduled lesson time has begun, the teacher will complete the lesson in the remaining portion of the time slot. Additional time for student tardiness is not guaranteed. If the teacher arrives after a scheduled lesson has begun, the teacher will give additional time past the time slot to compensate for their tardiness with mutual acceptance of the student’s schedule. Rescheduling/Cancellations: Students must cancel/reschedule lessons by phone or email with at least 24-hour notice. Cancellations are considered excused for illness, family emergency, or severe weather (public school closures). Excused cancellations with sufficient notification will be given a make-up lesson within the month or lesson credit towards the following month. No-shows, cancellations without sufficient notification, or unexcused cancellations will not be given make-up lessons or lesson credits. The teacher may need to cancel a lesson due to illness or a family emergency and/or reschedule due to performance engagements or planned vacations. In this case, the teacher will provide a make-up lesson within the month or apply a lesson credit towards the following month. If desired, the make-up lesson can also be taken online via Skype. If a student cancels a re-scheduled make-up lesson, the lesson will be considered forfeited. Make-up lessons are not guaranteed and are subject to availability. If a make-up lesson is not possible, a lesson credit will be applied toward the following month. Copyright/class recordings: Lessons and seminars are considered intellectual property and may not be recorded (audio or video). The teacher is legally protected in case of a breach of this agreement. The teacher is entitled to immediate termination of the lesson/package without a refund if this rule is broken. The teacher is entitled to legal action in case of copyright infringement. Parental Involvement for younger students: I do not teach children below the age of 10 via Skype as they require hands-on work to form correct playing habits and posture. Students 10 years and younger must have a parent or guardian present at the lesson. The parent will take notes and act as the student’s “home teacher”. Parental involvement is welcomed and strongly encouraged for all students, but not required for students 10 years and older.

Henry held a great lesson for our 6 yo son. He made it fun and interesting and was able to quickly adapt the exercises depending on how our child responded. Also worth mentioning that Henry was able to overcome language barrier as our child speaks very little French or English. Our child was very happy and wants to come back for more

What a great session! I wish I'd found her sooner! She's very knowledgable - repertoire, technique, the science behind it all etc, as well as being very approachable and encouraging.
