Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What once felt like blind tradition started revealing itself as profound knowledge about life, the cosmos, and human well-being. It truly blew my mind to see how something I once dismissed could transform into a source of awe and understanding. Below you will find a small snippet of its beauty: One such intriguing idea, passed down through generations, became a cornerstone of Indian culture. Thousands of years ago, a thought arose in the mind of one of the most selfless humans I can imagine: “God lives everywhere — even in a simple stone.” At first glance, it may seem strange, even naïve, to build an entire culture around such a belief. But look deeper — it wasn’t just mysticism. It was wisdom. Without such ideas, the selfish instincts of humans might have destroyed much of nature long ago. Take the great Banyan tree in my own backyard. If not for the belief that “God lives in all things,” that tree might have been cut down generations ago. And with it, countless childhood memories — mine, and thousands of others like me — would have been lost. This is why, in ancient times, temples were often built near old trees. Our ancestors, with their brilliant insight into human nature, understood a harsh truth: “We are our own worst enemy.” To counter this, they used faith itself as a strategy — channeling the idea of God to protect our co-dependents in nature and to preserve the ecological balance. It was never really the irregularly shaped stone that saved the Banyan tree — it was the faith embedded in our culture. She introduces herself, and asks the student to speak about themselves. She is also interested to know more about their musical background (if any), and the reasons why they want to take up piano. It is important for Athanasia to know from the start what the student's intentions are, i.e. if it is a hobby for them, if they have professional aspirations, or if they are not sure yet! She then usually introduces the student to some basic knowledge on the structure of the piano, such as the sound- producing mechanism, the names of the parts etc; the piano is quite a complex, big instrument and can look quite daunting, so a bit of familiarity with it helps start things off. The rest of the content of the first lesson would depend on the level and age of the student. When starting a new activity, it always takes a bit of time to feel familiarity. For the first few lessons, Athanasia will follow the pace that the new student will be comfortable with. Kevin is a genius, who is capable of breaking down complex concepts into manageable, useful bits. If you think of a really large basket of vegetables and fruits. You know all the nutrients are good for you, but it would be tedious to try to eat it all raw. But then, you get a juicer or blender or 'Nutribullet', and juice all those vegetables and fruits into a refreshing smoothie. You can then drink that smoothie as quickly or slowly as you wish, and still get all the necessary nutrients... That's what Kevin can do - he juices all the complex intricacies of the German language into something you can understand and digest. His methods are unconventional, but very helpful in laying a proper foundation for a successful language learning journey. Very highly recommended.

The current ratings and reviews speak for themselves. Most are 5-star reviews, with a few 4-star reviews and none at a lower rating. She is an amazing teacher with more than a decade of experience. Who truly knows how to tailor a programme to each individual student. In 3 weeks, I've grown from knowing close to no grammar to being able to form proper sentences for everyday use. One aspect I value a lot about her way of teaching is that we apply the grammar not only to every-day situations but also to topics that tailor to my personal life circumstances. I have been convinced that, with the help of Marina, I will be able to grow my Mandarin skills exponentially over the next few months.
