I seek to help my students to structure their ideas, to assimilate the methods of dissertation and text commentary and to improve their writing and oral expression. I really appreciate the privileged setting that private lessons provide for strengthening students' self-confidence. I try to ensure that classes are a space for discussion in which they can confide in each other if necessary. I also try to pass on to them my taste for philosophy and literature, in particular through reading recommendations adapted to each person. I provide students with the documents necessary to prepare for their tests. ✦✦✦ French and literature lessons ✦✦✦ Typical procedure: - The first hour of class is devoted to an analysis of the copies, the program seen in class and the student's needs. - Depending on the texts and themes covered in class, I offer a series of exercises as well as progressive training in dissertation and text commentary exercises. - I provide them with supports so that they can better understand the major literary trends, the different figures of speech and the works followed in the French program. - To prepare for the French baccalaureate oral exam, I give them “mock orals” on text comments prepared in class and give them a series of tips to improve their oral expression. - I systematically give homework to be done between each lesson.
