Do you love Italian people, history and food and you would like to speak the language? I am a CEDILS certified Italian teacher born and raised in Florence, and I've also been a language student myself for a long time! If you want to be able to interact with Italians quickly, I can give you some tips about the correct pronunciation, fundamental grammar and vocabulary, but also Italian art and folklore. Lessons will be tailored according to student's needs, level and mother language and focused on conversation. I am also available to proofread your writings.

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

Art is a great way to express your feelings and is a great life skill. It allows you to see life from a different perspective and it makes you feel alive. Art has always been an important part of human society since the beginning of time. Art has been used as a tool for cultural exchange, education, and expression. I've finished an art college and it is a big part of my life. I am happy to share my skills and experience with others who have an interest in art. I have an experience in working with children, but I'm also happy to teach adults.

Drawing often seems intimidating for the fact that once you start drawing, you are expected to soon be advanced, skilful and know how to do figure, technical, academical drawing. One of the most important things that I learned through the process of drawing, painting, sketching, is how to relax your body and mind to transfer your soul onto paper, canvas, how to let your curiosity, imagination intertwine with the blissful nature of art. I want to encourage people to seek their own inner voice rather than to copy what's already been done, what I have struggled with for years, even during my lessons in an art school. I want to encourage people to let go of comparing themselves, their skills, abilities, motivation to others and find the pure beauty in passion and love. To free what we often suppress.

Portrait Sketching is a skill which you need when who don’t have any idea on what to gift people on their birthday’s. Just kidding. In this age of digital media, if you still want to learn physical sketching and painting, you have my heart. The worth of a hand drawn sketch or painting is still more. This class would have basics to advanced techniques of sketching and painting and would require basic pencils, paint and your own brain in the beginning, then we can move to other tools required. Don’t worry if you haven’t painted or sketched before, the worst that could happen is lot of pages being torn but some might turn out to be abstract which we can sell and then split the money, hahaha! that’s it, rest would be fun.

In this course, we will explore the fundamentals of drawing, including techniques for observation, composition, and expression. Throughout the course, we will cover a range of topics including: We will learn about different types of pencils, papers, erasers, and other materials that are commonly used in drawing. We will practice drawing from life, including still lifes, landscapes, and many more. We will explore techniques for measuring and proportion, understanding light and shadow, and capturing texture and form. We will study the principles of composition, including balance, contrast, and rhythm, and learn how to apply them to our drawings to create more dynamic and engaging images. We will experiment with different styles and techniques for expressing mood, emotion, and personal style in our drawings. We will provide constructive feedback to each other on our work and learn how to give and receive critiques in a supportive and respectful manner.

I am specialised in film history and theory, which I've been studying for years and know extensively. You could be someone curious about film who wants to get a grasp of the old calssics; or you could be a cinephile who wants to deepen her or his knowledge of the field and think critically about cinema. Some topics will include New Korean Cinema, Contemporary French Cinema, Experimental Film, French New Wave, Film and Philosophy, Hollywood Cinema, Postmodern Cinema, Documentary Theory, Queer Cinema, Feminist Cinema, Black and Postcolonial Cinema, and Ecological cinema. I also teach contemporary art history, specifically from the 1960s onwards, with a focus on performance, installation and video art, as well as their broader cultural background and relationship to the other arts. Some of the artists that will be studied are Cindy Sherman, Steve McQueen, Chantal Akerman, Shirin Neshat, Marina Abramovic, and Ana Mendieta.

I'm an Oxford University graduate who provides personalised History of Art tutoring lessons! I love using lots of images of art to develop the student's visual analysis skills, but equally we can work on essay and writing skills, or just use our time to develop the student's interest in art!

Art classes These classes focus on developing the skills to produce artworks utilising diverse media. The techniques I teach are drawing, painting, sculpture, and engraving, as well as mixed media, where students experiment a combination of techniques and materials, such as photomontage, xilocollage, building of sculptures with non-conventional objects, etc. Art appreciation & Art History I use a combination of techniques for Art Appreciation and Art History classes. Some are based on the Visual Thinking Strategies method and guided enquiry, as well as on my background in drama to relate to artworks with all the senses and the emotions. Similarly, my guided observation works on helping students identify and understand compositional principles. The aim of these classes is to get learners thinking about what they see and what it could mean. This can be done with any sort of image. This type of approach is particularly important nowadays that human culture has become eminently visual. And students extract enormous joy by sharing and discussing their ideas.

As a French art history student in the Netherlands, I offer courses in the disciplines I specialize in: French and art history. I have completed my academic career as I am in M2 this year! Thanks to my literary background I am used to teaching French to all levels and ages: beginners or advanced! During our lessons we will discuss grammar and vocabulary as well as French culture. That's why I also offer art history classes (in French or English): we can either focus on learning about the art of a specific period or combine learning French and art history by doing art history classes in French on French art!
