Trusted teacher: This class includes absolutely everything what the student is interested in terms of jazz and improvised music since the openness of Markus and thanks to the previous experience from CVA in terms of teaching and playing jazz in the Amsterdam Scene. Markus follows a more open-environment learning atmosphere whilst keeping the traditional teaching methods in mind. Technique exercises and information about the improvised music are the 2 pillars of the lesson. Also, its good to mention that the lessons are not what you'd expect from a traditional lesson. We rarely use paper in the lesson and the most important aspect is not the eyes but the ears. Since improvisation doesn't use paper, why would we use it in the lesson?

Trusted teacher: Professional saxophonist eager to teach and work to bring out the best version of yourself! The lessons are intended for all levels, children or adults. We follow a working method where you will continuously and deeply develop your musicality, way of playing, expressiveness and technique. -------------------------------------------------- ---------------------- Raúl is a Spanish saxophonist who finished his MASTER DIDACTIC in 2018 in the Ecole Supérieure des Arts in Mons. Before, he also followed a MASTER of INTERPRETATION at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (2015-2017) in the class of Alain Crepin and Simon Diricq. He studied at the "Musikene" (Higher Conservatory of Music of the Basque Country) with Eric Devallon, Tomás Jérez, Antonio Felipe Belijar and Miguel Ángel Lorente. Passionate about multidisciplinary artistic creation, he thinks of mixing all the arts in the same show as an aesthetic finality. We could observe this type of research in his project for his final master's recital in Brussels where he created a project based on Maslow's hierarchy of human needs theory where he mixes live, recorded, music and music. dance, play of light and effects under the name of: “according to Maslow…” In his career as a concert artist, he has played in different ensembles (solo, duo, trio, quartet, orchestra performances, etc.) and in different countries such as Japan (Artisanal music fair “Suono Italia” 2010), Belgium (Festival Musiq3 2016 ), Artonov Festival at BOZAR in 2016…), France (Dax chamber music festival 2011) or Spain (“Quincena Musical” music festival 2015, Aste Nagusia 2015, Heineken Jazzaldia 2014, Kutxa Festival 2015, Intercentros Melómano 2010).

Daniele - Brussels, Belgium45€
Trusted teacher: This course is for anyone that's interested to play the saxophone at any level, from the very beginners to students interested in more advanced topics such as improvisation, both in unconventional ways or more founded on the tradition of Jazz. The course will be adapted to the pupils goals and level, with a demanding but not overpowering approach. The frequency can also be optimized to the pupil's necessities: weekly, bi-weekly or monthly (not less). I believe that the main goal of a mentor should ultimately to make the pupil become his own teacher and establish an empatic two-way learning process.

Trusted teacher: Saxophonist since 1996, I bring saxophone lessons since September 2010, but also solfeggio if you want to learn to read a score. I do program customization, depending on your goals, the learning program is tailor-made and should only apply to the student's pace. For that, I propose various formulas for a follow-up on the long term in your progression, this will allow me to support you in the difficult moments. Because the learning of an instrument sometimes involves obstacles that prevent progress, obstacles that the student will not always solve himself.

Trusted teacher: Student at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, I offer saxophone lessons for all levels and all ages. With my four years of experience as a private teacher, I know how to adapt to the affinities of my students, whatever their level or their pace of work, to teach them my instrument while having fun and thriving.
The saxophone is one of the most (if not the most) iconic instruments. I can help you implement your hearing and your music-theory (which we can both develop while playing the saxophone) in your playing. We can learn to hear the changes when they are played and listen to ourselves play. The importance of listening to great music rather than read them from a paper wouldn’t be lost in our sessions. I can also teach Arranging and help you write your own Compositions I’m a Saxophone player who received most of my training from Dieter Limbourg and I play tenor and alto saxophone in the UB2 Bigband If you can not be taught in the times i mentioned below i can alter the hours with little to no problem

Sarah has created a series of online courses that take you step by step through the foundations of playing the saxophone. The course is made up a series of 10 – 15 videos lasting between 2 – 4 minutes each. These videos will walk you through every step of the way, whether you are learning the saxophone for the first time or looking to progress your technique and learn to play the famous sax solo, Baker Street. It is recommended you complete Sarah’s foundation course even if you have been playing the saxophone for a while. The information Sarah shares with you is that of which she obtained from studying her Bachelors of Music at one of the most prestigious Music Colleges in the world, Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Whilst studying at Guildhall School of Music and Drama Sarah trained with John Harle, Simon Harem, Christian Foreshaw and Rob Buckland from the Apollo Saxophone Quartet. Sarah gets you playing like a pro right from your foundations in learning to play the saxophone. Why study with Sarah? Sarah has had a breadth of experience performing as a professional saxophonist from recitals at the Purcell Rooms, Queen Elizabeth Hall London, TV performances; including TFI Friday comeback where she arranged the music for the saxophone section, producing and performing in shows for the Underbelly Festival London, to tours with Yamaha and Classic FM. Sarah has headlined worldwide, shared stages with Peter Andre, Katherine Jenkins and Lionel Richie, toured with Jonathan Antoine and performed Pop sax with DJs across Europe. She has a wide knowledge of her instrument across multiple genres which she will share with you from her experience and career as a professional saxophonist. Sharing tips from the pros learnt from some of the most prestigious saxophonists in the world. Sarah says, ‘It is important you establish good technique, you must build on good foundations. It is so hard to unlearn poor technique…. People tell me about their online learning experiences from youtube. I am sure there are some good tutors on youtube but it is a minefield, you cannot guarantee that the advice being shared is qualified.’ In these courses I have carefully planned out every step for you as if I was teaching 1 – 2 – 1, I look at the problems you may be encountering, how to overcome then and what to practise.’ Who are Sarah’s Online Saxophone Courses suited to? Whether you are a beginner or intermediate level we highly recommend doing Sarah’s foundations course. Once you have mastered this you can move on to the more advanced techniques covered in ‘Learn to Play Baker Street’.
