We will see from the musical point of view how to play and study the drums. Something that I think it's so personal and for this I think that it will let you play this instrument with your own sound.

We will develop the technique (hands, feet), coordination, independence, styles, etc. Those skills will provide you the tools for you to have more resources in the hour to play with other people.

We will focus on your interest, complementing this with the tools that I think are important to play the drum and finding your own voice.

Lesson is given on location or at home (if you have a drum kit), and your first lesson is always free, because you have to be able to determine if you like drumming and you want me as a teacher.

Drum lessons (giving) is always fun and educational. You learn in addition to technique (the correct (sitting) posture, stick control and the 'rudiments' basic patterns such as the familiar 'roffel' (double-stroke-roll) and the 'paradiddle' - also the importance of counting, dynamics, reading notes and timing After all, you will all need them if you want to continue (with a band or just for yourself).

- How long does it take before I become a drummer?
Two answers: a few hours, and a lifetime. You will see that you can play nice things in no time, but also that top drummers in the world, such as Phil Collins, Cesar Zuiderwijk, Dave Lombardo or Simon Phillips, learn new things every day (and happy).

- Am I too old to start?
You're never too old,
- Do I have a sense of rhythm?
You can learn rhythm feeling. I have NOT been able to teach anyone. - Is there a best drummer in the world?
It is about fun, and there is no podium or medal, only thousands of colleagues who are doing very well.
- Is drumming only something for men?

With 20 years of experience as a guitar teacher and as a professional musician, I like to pass on my passion for the guitar to others.
I teach at all levels; from beginners to advanced, and specialize in jazz, flamenco, classical, bossa nova, rock, funk and metal.
On the basis of the level of the student I make a program that suits them, including learning songs with chords, playing riffs, rhythm theory, speed, improvisation, specific techniques, transcription of solos.
I also teach entire bands, using control so that they can play well together.

Trombone lessons

Learning to master the trombone is no easy task. It is an infinitely variable instrument, it has no valves or valves, which means that the hearing in particular must be well trained. Solfège is an important part of my lessons. If you can sing something, you can also play it, is my vision. Besides trombone lessons I also give trumpet lessons for beginners. Even then I use the ear training method.

At music schools I teach according to the AMV principle. With that you can get your diplomas, A to D. The latter is, as it were, the audition for the conservatory.

In my studio close to Rotterdam, I give music lessons according to your needs. This can be technique, or being able to present an etude or concert beautifully. But also learning to play over a chord progression, improvising, being able to play freely.

COVID-19 update 2021: Due to the corona crisis, I am currently also teaching online via Skype. However, my studio is so big that the 1.5 meters can be maintained for the 1 on 1 lessons.

Hi! I am Elsa, I am 24 and I come from France. I am currently doing a jazz master at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, after obtaining my classical bachelor at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.
I have been playing cello for 19 years. Over the years I played in various settings: chamber music (small ensembles like trios, quartet), bands (new music), solo and orchestras such as the Nationaal Jeugdorkest and Jong Metropole (national youth jazz orchestra).
I love to play classical music but also some jazz, funk or pop! I like to play with people, create music together, improvise... And I hope this is something I can also pass on to my students!
Since 6 years I am teaching all kind of people: all ages, all level, in different languages, individual or in groups... So don't be afraid to have a try! I can teach in english and french, and if your level is not fluent we will always find a way to communicate!
I teach in The Hague, Amsterdam or online and I can come to your place to teach!
