Life drawing classes – learn to draw what you see
From 22.6 € /h
Learn to draw by observing the world around you.
In these classes we will explore drawing from life: people, places and everyday scenes.
We can work from real objects, photographs, or illustrations.
If you're interested in manga, ink drawing, or ukiyo-e (traditional Japanese woodblock prints), we can also explore that style.
If you have something you'd like to draw, you can bring it to class.
If not, we will use reference materials that I have prepared.
No prior experience is necessary. Beginners are welcome.
You can draw on paper with a pencil or marker, or also on a tablet if you prefer to work digitally.
The classes are adapted to your level and your interests.
I am currently based in Tokyo and offer in-person classes in Tokyo, Yokohama, and Kawasaki, as well as online classes.
If you wish, we can also go outside and draw together while observing the city.
For in-person classes, the cost of transportation may be added depending on the distance.

About Me
I always carry paper, pencils or markers with me (and in recent years also an iPad).
When I find an interesting scene, I stop and draw right there.
For four years I developed the personal project “Everyday I draw Barcelona”, in which I made more than 1500 drawings observing the city directly in its streets.
I am particularly interested in everyday scenes, away from tourist spots, where you can feel the real life of the city.
I believe that drawing done on location has a unique ability to convey the atmosphere of a space and a moment, something different from photography.
My drawings have been published as art prints, t-shirts and other products, and are sold in shops in Barcelona and also online.
