The purpose of the course is to see with the student, the student or the adult, what are its weak points, and use various tools (grammar, vocabulary, hearing, reading, ...) to remedy it. It can quite come with a concrete request (like for example, to explain a grammar point such as the present perfect) or simply to wish to deepen one's knowledge of the language, or even to start in this same learning of the language. It is for any level and will adapt according to the request of the participant (s). It has the advantage of being flexible and malleable according to the desideratas of the participant (s).
English carries with it the reputation of being complicated to grasp, especially in terms of nuances. And although it must be acknowledged that there are, they are not impossible to learn! I can offer English tutoring for grades 3 through to DP2 in IB English. I passed the IB with a consistent 7 in English Language and Literature (the highest English course available) and received full marks for most of my assignments. I can help with fundamental concepts, understanding of what is expected to meet the IB's requirements, and how to answer the questions and do the assignments to meet the specific expectations of the IB. I am also available to help with the completion of assignments (in terms of guiding, correcting, and suggestions) and with whatever course work is assigned (including any books that are assigned.)

NB: If the work with which I am to help is related to an assigned reading book, please inform me of the book in advance so that I can do some preparatory work.

I provide tutoring and homework support for English. This does not only concern English grammar, spelling and vocabulary, but also reading comprehension, literature and translation theories.

In my lessons I focus entirely on what you need help with. For example, if you would like extra explanation about things you run into, or would like guidance with homework or when preparing a paper, a book summary or a speaking assignment, I would be happy to help you with that!

I keep the classes flexible. For example, these can always be canceled and they do not have to be scheduled with much time in advance. I want to keep my relationship with the student and parents personal, as I am only a student myself.

Since high school, I’ve offered private tutoring to students aged 10 to 17, helping them with everything from grammar worksheets and book reviews to philosophy essays and creative writing assignments.

As for English, I was raised in an international school environment where English was a core part of my education from childhood through high school. I earned my TOEFL certificate before beginning my current bachelor’s studies, which are entirely in English. I've also taught English with a focus on pronunciation, grammar, syntax, and practical communication skills.

When tutoring, I place strong emphasis on tracking progress, often by assigning homework (if agreed upon) and creating clear, structured plans to help students stay on track.
