This class is for those interested in history or who need help in their own historical studies. As a Masters graduate in medieval History and Undergraduate of History at the University of St. Andrews I am able to provide in depth understanding of a broad range of historical periods. In particular I can offer great depth on the history of Byzantium, but I have also covered periods such as the ancien regime, Bismarck's Germany, the Japanese Empire, the USSR, the Weimar Republic. If you have a particular interest message me and I can see if I could produce a course on it. If you wish to take a course with me I can offer lectures, active learning lessons and suggest further readings for debate and discussion.

For those studying history I can offer help with answering questions and essay writing as I am currently studying to become a history teacher.

History and politics have always been a passion of mine and I am very much willing to teach anyone who desires any tutoring. At times it can be very difficult and overwhelming if you need to make an exam or write an essay - I can be there to help in case you need guidance! The goal here would be to make you understand history better, organize patterns in your head and possibly make you love the subject! This should definitely help in either expanding your worldview, or enhancing your history grades. I am willing to teach history (or politics/maatschappijleer) in Dutch or English.

I have little preference in regard to eras or themes in history, but if you must know I especially enjoy political and military macro-history. The grand patterns throughout history fascinate me, with of course, attention to large events. No era or area is particularly strange to me, again, being able to process history is the goal here!

The grand goal is to get a basic, intermediate or advanced understanding in one of the subjects. I could, possibly, rehearse with you and ask you how fluent you are in the topics at hand. I am fully willing to adapt to the student his or her academic needs. In case you wish me to help you in structuring or writing a history essay, then this, too is no problem!

Hello! My name is Pelagia, and I currently live in Amsterdam, though I am originally from Athens, Greece.

I am a certified and experienced Greek language teacher with over 10 years of teaching in both Greece and the Netherlands. I completed the IB DP with a consistent 7/ high 6 in Higher Level History, and this has always been one of my favorite subjects. I am very good at this subject and have somewhat of a passion for it. I have a very good grasp of what is expected from the IB students as pertains to this subject, and I know the ins and outs of the criteria and the weird and wonderful little ways in which the IB expects the students to perform. I am able to help with any course work, homework, assignments, or assessments. As pertains to the DP students, I also did my EE on a History topic so I can assist there if need be. I am also a tutor in English and as comprehensive writing and legibility is a large part of what is expected from IB History students, I can offer particular insight into how to best write and get arguments across.

Ik heb ruime ervaring met het geven van bijles en het begeleiden van leerlingen bij verschillende organisaties. In de afgelopen jaren heb ik gewerkt met leerlingen van uiteenlopende niveaus, waarbij ik heb gemerkt dat ik veel energie haal uit het uitleggen van lesstof en het vergroten van zelfvertrouwen bij leerlingen.

Mijn interesse en passie liggen vooral bij de vakken geschiedenis, aardrijkskunde en maatschappijleer/burgerschap. In primary and secondary school, I had many friends who struggled with specific subjects, which I didn't. It also happened the other way around. It was great to be able to help each other with this. When that wasn't possible, we received tutoring from a great coach, and this helped us all pass our exams.

School can be frustrating, overwhelming, and overwhelming. Having the right person to help you through this and provide guidance can reduce a lot of stress. Besides tutoring, I'm also a Psychology student and could help with planning, fear of failure, ADD/ADHD, etc.
