Trusted teacher: “Language is the key to connection – I help you open that door.” My name is Rebeca. I was raised trilingually in Dutch, English and Spanish. Thanks to my international education and years of experience in a multilingual environment, I switch effortlessly between these three languages. From my own experience I know how lost you can feel in an environment where you don't speak the language yet. That's why I offer language support to children (4-17 years) who want to learn Dutch or improve their language skills - especially in the Arnhem-Nijmegen region. Personal guidance, tailor-made I teach in a way that suits the student: personal, patient and tailored to the level and learning needs. I work with different teaching materials and focus on communication and speaking skills, so that my students quickly feel at home and dare to speak with confidence. Special attention for children I also coach children with dyslexia or autism and help them in a way that suits their unique way of learning. In addition, I support children who are switching from international to regular Dutch education - both in terms of language and in finding their place in a new school environment. Practical and flexible The lessons are 1-on-1, The price is per person per hour. Lessons take place at a location chosen by the teacher, always one-on-one. --- Please let me know if you would like a different tone (e.g. something more light-hearted, business-like, or for a flyer aimed at parents).

My methodology is based on following the method that best suits the student. If the student is interested, for example, in getting started with classical music, we would work on technique exercises, as well as studies or pieces designed for this purpose. There would also be a classical repertoire component, while at the same time giving the student the option to work on any type of music they wish. These classes would also include basic music theory to begin familiarizing themselves with reading sheet music. If the student wishes to learn a specific type of music other than classical, such as jazz, blues, or pop, the same methods would be applied, but adapted to these different musical genres. Even so, I am flexible in dividing the class as the student wishes, focusing solely on learning to play, or covering more ground by delving into the theory and practices that lie beyond mere practice. In my piano teaching method, I would combine the classical training I've received and found relevant with modern musical methods such as improvisation and ear training. My lessons would be structured, for example, as follows: - We would begin with an articulation warm-up, followed by some technical exercises to familiarize the hand. Articulation exercises played together with the teacher would also be included. - Afterwards, we would play a technical piece, such as an étude, prelude, invention... Alternatively, we could dedicate part of the lesson to working on a musical aspect, such as scales, chords, and scale degrees. - And we would conclude by playing a piece/song requested by the student. Finally, I would like to clarify that I am open to make an agreement with the student on the theoretical, practical, and thematic structure of the lessons.

Trusted teacher: Teaching from my experience as a performing musician and my stage experience is one of the important principles in my teaching practice. Sharing what I have experienced myself. By teaching on different sides of the world and with different age categories, I have built up a lot of experience. At a certain point, teaching for me became much more than just keeping the student busy playing pieces of music. By studying different aspects such as sound, breathing, posture and other aspects of flute playing, I began to see very clearly how all elements of playing are influenced by our personality, emotions and feelings. And in this way, playing the flute becomes much deeper and more beautiful than "just" making music, then you get to know yourself on a different level and on a different level of making music. During my career I have played and continue to play several flutes: modern flute, piccolo, traverso (baroque flute) and bansuri (Indian flute). That gives me a lot of vision and insight into flute playing in general. In addition to my music activities, I am also a certified yoga teacher. From my yoga training, I have a clear idea of anatomy and the structure of the human body, which in my view is very important to help students find their own beautiful and natural sound. It is important to me to view each person as personally as possible and to help them as individually as possible to find their own way to music and the flute. I not only give flute lessons for the modern flute, but also lessons for the traverso.
