Trusted teacher: Hi there, I'm a professional violin and viola teacher, teaching in person and online, in English, German or Russian. Alongside teaching 1:1 and coaching chamber music over the last 12 years, I've led numerous workshops, including ‘Music First’ and ‘Music Masters’ in the UK and taught on the Primary and Senior Arpeggione Viola Courses run by Jacky Woods, coaching some of the UK’s leading young musicians. As a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, I have participated in ESTA conferences across Europe, including at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, and in Valletta, Europe’s cultural capital in 2018. I regularly prepare his students for auditions, competitions and exams at all levels, and has a holistic teaching style incorporating music theory, aural and sight reading skills and physical awareness. Many of my students have won regional and national competitions and have been accepted into specialist music schools and youth orchestras. Outside of teaching, I performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, recently including at Kings Place London, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and Philharmonie Berlin. I received first prize at the Małopolska competition, the Barbirolli Prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition and the Len Lickorish Memorial Prize at the Royal Overseas League International Strings Competition. I hold a Masters degree with first class honours from the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, where I studied with Tabea Zimmermann, and the University of Arts, where I studied with Lawrence Power, as well as a Bachelors degree with the same distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in London, where I began in the primary department 20 years ago. I am the 8th generation successor of Guqin Sichuan School 川派古琴(also known as Shu School蜀派古琴), and I am currently based in Berlin, Germany. The inheritage thread of Sichuan School (only count from modern China) 1. Zhang, Kongshan (ca. 1830-1905) 2.Ye, Jiefu 3.Ye, Wanzhen 4.Liao, Wenfu 5.Yu, Shaoze (1903-1988) 6. Hu, Jinrong 7. Huang, Yishu 8. Li, Yang With the innermost passion of playing and teaching this interesting instrument, I would love to encounter more international students from diverse backgrounds, as long as we can communicate in English/Chinese. 2025 is my 11th year of practicing. The music ran through my college time in Beijing, pursuing master's degree in the UK, Australia, Italy, and now in Germany as a PhD candidate in art history. My another profession is art curator and researcher. I am keen to spread the music to more regions and population, and even more, fusing the music with different genres of global music. Traditional Sichuan School 1v1 teaching according to student's individual level. There is no fixed order to learn Guqin music. For beginners to advanced. Except for traditional pieces, we can also work with pop music transfers based on individual interest. Trusted teacher: Salut! :) I am a French and English native speaker, currently studying DigitaI Business in Berlin. I also speak German, Spanish, and am learning Norwegian. I believe the best way to learn a language is to speak it, therefore our lessons will be focused on conversation, personally adjusted to your level and your ambitions! What I like to do is to have themed lessons: We will choose a topic together and I will give you a small exercice to prepare. In the lesson we will then chat about the chosen theme, have some activities, games and go over the exercice you prepared. I have taught myself Spanish and German, so I know first-hand what the difficulties of learning a language can be and how to find the correct solutions to reach your objectives. That's why I also take good care in creating an environment where it is ok to make mistakes, and where we always understand each other. A bit more about me : I grew up in France and went to school in Monaco, where I studied in both French and English. After getting my high school diploma, I worked as a private English teacher for a year, giving classes to young and not so young French students. I then moved to Berlin for Bachelor studies. I am a very curious person, so I have a multitude of different interests, and in general love to talk and learn about everything.

My interests include : music, sports, literature, filmmaking, business (in particular sustainability), psychology, among many others. I am excited to accompany you in the beautiful language journey you have ahead! :)

Trusted teacher: I am a French and Brazilian tutor, specialised in tutoring students French and Portuguese and helping them prepare for exams such as the DELF/ DALF and IB (in French) and the CIPLE/DAPLE (Portuguese). Last year I have become an IB French teacher for The International Sharing School, and I am currently working part time as an online French teacher for MyLingoTrip School. Therefore my schedule is flexible and I am actively accepting new students. I have tutored several adults and young professionals in Portuguese and French, for the past 5 years. With more then 4 languages in my arsenal and an intensely multicultural background, I have a mature knowledge about the broad senses of language and a great mastering of its nuances. With years of professionalism, translation practice and teaching, my skills and resources allow me to help anyone reach their goal! Furthermore, in my language education roles, I focus on students who have the goal to work in French or Portuguese speaking countries, so I have tailored my curriculum in order to allow them to rapidly develop relevant business communication skills. My classes are really dynamic and I can easily adapt to what the student is looking for (improving grammar, vocabulary, written skills, conversations). I see language as something very stimulating and playful to learn. It is truly helpful to learn new communication skills, for the everyday life but also for improving new connections, professional opportunities and travels around the world. I am very patient and always strive for improvement. I am looking forward to hearing from you, and do not hesitate if you have any questions. I am here for you!

Toby is an outstanding instructor and works with children very naturally. My 11 year old son has been taking lessons with Toby for over two months and is eager for each lesson. Toby is extremely talented, but beyond that, he engages my son deeply with the music itself, fundamental techniques, music theory, and even the interpretation of the music. Toby is kind, encouraging, and works with students at a level that is appropriate. He has allowed my son to chose music that if fun and interesting to practice, even though the pieces are challenging. We are located many time zones away from Toby, and the virtual lessons do not hinder our experience with him. In fact, I often sit in to listen to the lessons, as they are so good. My son has had a couple of lessons with Toby while company has been over, and everyone has commented on how amazing Toby is as an instructor. I can not recommend Toby enough and hope to continue lessons with him for a long time.

I've had a few lessons with Sammy so far, and I’m positively surprised by how great the experience has been. Sammy is incredibly patient, attentive to detail, and really takes the time to adjust the lessons to your individual level and pace. I especially appreciate how he gently encourages you to try new things, all while keeping the learning process engaging and intuitive. The lessons are not only productive but also enjoyable — I’m genuinely looking forward to continuing this journey.

Sam is an amazing teacher, patient and open to the student's goals and suggestions. His approach is more technical than theoretical but will nonetheless get anyone willing to learn up to speed on the basics into more advanced notions. He assessed what I was already able to do on the guitar to fill the gaps and help me progress into further fields. So far he's taught me the electric guitar, a bit of bass and piano and I'm very happy about all of it.
