Who am I? My name is Staf, and my passion for piano started in the sixth grade, in 2005. After my studies at PXL Music, I successfully completed my training as a pianist. In addition, I have been teaching music in secondary education for several years. Now I would like to share that experience and knowledge with others. In addition to piano lessons, I also provide support in music production with Logic X, so if you have any questions about producing music, you have come to the right place.

Hello, I am Staf.
Coming from Pelt, Limburg but living in Malderen (Londerzeel).
My background as a pianist goes back to 6th grade. That was in the year 2003 ;)
In addition to playing live, I'm also busy producing with the DAW Logic X, if you have any questions about that I can help you with that too.

Education

I successfully completed my education as a pianist at the PXL-Music. Here I gained a lot of knowledge about the music industry and of course learned to play the piano well. Now I would like to pass on that knowledge to other people.

Being highly skilled in sight-reading, I have often realized how valuable and enjoyable it is to possess that “gift.” After more than ten years of teaching students of different levels and aspirations, I have observed a common thread: regardless of their goals, all were eager to improve their ability to read and interpret new, unfamiliar music.

Currently, I am developing a multifaceted approach designed to help students understand a composition at first sight. Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. Graduated in cello in Barcelona, finishing my master in historical cello at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Passionate cellist with a lot of experience in performance and education. Giovanna raised and formed in Florence, where she began her guitar studies at the age of five at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. In September, she graduated cum laude and she's currently enrolled in the Master’s program at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, studying with Antigoni Goni.

Winner of many international competitions, she performed plenty of times in Italy and in 2023 she has held a solo concert in Milan for the XXXVIII Società Umanitaria's concerts season. Next to renowned guitarists, such as Luigi Attademo and Giorgio Albiani, she performed the world premiere of Álvaro Company’s Concert Català for ten guitars, in the revision by Vincenzo Saldarelli.

Alongside her performing activity, Giovanna has developed a strong dedication to teaching adults, children, and teenagers. She tailors each learning path to the individual student, carefully balancing personal interests with technical and artistic development, whether for amateur musicians or students preparing for conservatory admission.
