I have been teaching Mathematics and English at all levels for more than 3 years. I have taught students with learning disabilities as well as students who are excelling in their studies making me well equipped to teach all kinds of students. I have experience as a math substitute at a secondary school (children aged 13-16) and therefore prefer to make a lot of mock exams and exercises myself. I like to keep parents as involved as possible and provide progress meetings outside of lessons. I have taught English to adults at a linguistics company for a year and have some experience teaching adults too. Even if you are an absolute beginner or seem to be struggling, I can find a way to help you learn better.

About Me

Studying is for everyone. As a tutor and a substitute teacher, I have come across many students who believe that some people are just not academically 'gifted'. This is extremely misleading and demotivating. I have learned that every student, regardless of age and ability, can excel in their studies. When I teach, I try to find the best way that works for the individual to give them the best possible chance.

My goal is to teach younger children/students the correct way of the English language. I have had precious experience with tutoring while I lived in Germany. During my time in tutoring,I learnt that children tend to learn faster and easier when enjoying a lesson. I therefore try to keep my lessons fun and exciting but of course, effective. My lessons included tasks like word puzzles, role play, quizzes etc. I provide worksheets, but I am open to helping out with homework they received from school or anything they are having problems with. My name is Dylan and I am a Masters student at Leiden University, studying Astronomy and Cosmology. I received my baccalaureate degree (B.Sc in Physics with Astronomy) from Dublin City University, Ireland, in 2015. Hi, I'm Deepthi!

I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree and have an engineering degree in Industrial Engineering. Ever since I was a child, mathematics has been my favourite subject, and that passion has only grown stronger over the years.

My mother always told me that mathematics isn't about following one fixed process to reach a solution, it's about truly understanding the concept and using that knowledge creatively to find the right answer. That belief has shaped the way I learn, and now, the way I teach.

Does mathematics feel like a puzzle you just can't crack? It doesn't have to.

I believe no student truly hates a subject, they only fear it until someone simplifies it for them. My goal is to be that person for you. From my schooling days through engineering, I've always enjoyed helping friends work through problems, and I'm excited to bring that same energy to students here in Vanves.
