Private Saxophone Lessons in Copenhagen - All LevelsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Private saxophone lessons in Copenhagen with professional saxophonist and experienced teacher Mark Hurrell. Lessons are individually tailored to your musical interests, experience and goals. Whether you’re picking up the saxophone for the first time, returning after a break, or an advanced player looking to develop your playing further, we’ll create a clear and enjoyable path for your progress. Lessons can cover jazz, pop, improvisation, sound, technique, reading, ear training, repertoire and performance, with an emphasis on making music from the very beginning. I have taught students from 5 to 85 years old, from complete beginners through to musicians preparing for conservatoire study and professional careers. I hold a Master’s degree in Music Performance and work professionally as a saxophonist, performing and recording internationally across a wide range of musical styles. Lessons take place in my dedicated music studio in Valby, Copenhagen, with online lessons also available. Don’t have a saxophone yet? Instruments are available to rent, so you can get started without buying one straight away. Most importantly, lessons should be something you look forward to. We’ll take your musical development seriously while keeping the atmosphere relaxed, encouraging and fun.

I hold a Scientific Baccalaureate mention Very Good. These years have allowed me to acquire methods essential to academic success that I can transmit even to younger students, methodology being the key to success. I was also able to acquire certain skills in mathematics, history, geography, French and even in languages mainly Spanish and still have the knowledge for support in scientific subjects other than mathematics. These years have also allowed me to speak with ease in order to transmit knowledge (3 oral per week in preparation that helps). TUTORING: Regarding my tutoring approach, during my studies I taught over 40 high school students and about ten middle school students, and therefore have a thorough understanding of the curriculum, particularly in mathematics. I have helped many students prepare for the French baccalaureate exam and other subjects. Furthermore, I will draw upon my own experiences and what has worked for me, while remaining mindful of each student's individual needs and abilities. I will tailor my approach to each child after analyzing their strengths and weaknesses. I will review their homework with them to help them improve, prepare them for future exams, and provide ongoing support throughout the year. The most important thing is to follow the student over an extended period to ensure their progress. AVAILABILITY: Evenings from 5:30pm or weekends.

Classes of singing jazz, pop and all other kinds of modern music in CopenhagenTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Classes of singing jazz, pop and all other kinds of modern music in CopenhagenTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Aleksandra is a trained singer, singing teacher and choir conductor from the Academy of Music in Gdansk and Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya in Barcelona. She took to the stage in her childhood and has been teaching music for the last 6 years. For several years she was a chorister of the prestigious Polish National Youth Choir and leader of Vocal Quintet Solifonia. Currently, she is a choir conductor and the founder of CHOIR CLUB in Korskolen. What can you expect from her teaching? She believes that singing can be passion, a communication tool, a means of therapy and so much more: more than you can imagine! In her classes, you will learn key vocal techniques as well as learning to understand your voice. You will discover the deeper meanings of the songs you sing as you seek to express them to the world. As she is working towards becoming an Accredited Teacher of IVTOM (International Voice Teachers of Mix) she focuses on delivering teaching based on the Mix principles: by mixing the chest and head voice you receive the full benefits of “both voices”: the natural and powerful sound of the chest voice, and the beauty and range of the head voice. As a singer learns to sing using both of these resonances and trains the vocal folds to stay together, it is possible to vocalize smoothly and evenly from one register to the next. The relationship of the two elements working together will create an even, smooth vocalization and, as a result, eliminates the “breaks” in the voice. She has a good knowledge of playing the piano, so you can sing along to her accompaniment or accompany yourself under her supervision. What does the first lesson include? You’ll talk about: - your background and musical experience - all the circumstances that can influence your sound production - your needs, expectations and plans You also find out: - what your bad habits are - how you can start your singing technique - what kind of exercises will help you best achieve your singing goals Who is welcome? - Children (8+), adolescents and adults - Singers of all kinds of popular music - Students who want to learn hearing / rhythm theory - Individuals, groups and families

I teach music through a practical, student-led approach focused on real-world skills, confidence, and creative independence. My goal is not just to show what to do, but to explain why it works, so students can apply the knowledge across styles, tools, and situations. Teaching techniques and methods: I tailor lessons to each student rather than following a rigid syllabus. Teaching is hands on and example driven, using demonstrations, guided exercises, and problem solving. I focus on breaking complex ideas into simple, usable steps, and I prioritise understanding over memorisation. For production and DJ students, this means working directly in their software or setup; for instrumentalists, it means technique applied immediately to music they care about. A typical lesson plan: Each lesson usually begins with a short check-in: what have you been working on? What’s got you stuck? And what do you want to do next? We then focus on one or two clear objectives—such as improving a technique, understanding a concept, or developing a track or performance idea. Lessons end with a practical takeaway: a focused exercise, creative task, or workflow to work on between sessions. Including your own SAMPLY portal to share home work and ideas and track messages. Special characteristics as a teacher I bring professional, real-world experience into every lesson. I’m direct, patient, and honest about what works and what doesn’t. I’m especially good at helping students who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or self-critical regain clarity and momentum. I adapt quickly to different learning styles and keep lessons grounded and encouraging. Who I teach I teach teenagers and adults at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. This includes hobbyists, aspiring professionals, and working musicians who want to level up specific skills. I regularly work with students who are self-taught, returning to music after a break, neurodivergent, or lacking confidence. Lessons are adapted to individual goals, pace, and circumstances.

Great teacher. Very friendly; made class enjoyable & comfortable. Aïda is always willing to help and creates positive environment. She is very interactive, enthusiastic, and motivating. Aïda has also great suggestions for adapting to different topics. Gives great feedback, responds quickly to emails/messages.

Karolina really strikes the perfect balance between encouragements and challenges to make her student progress. As an amateur singer in a band, it was important for me to find a rigorous yet creative teacher to improve my singing techniques. Her meticulousness and expertise make her an inspiring singing teacher!

I really enjoy having lessons with Asli because Asli is a super sensitive teacher who is able to adapt her lessons to my needs. She creates a judgement free learning environment which gives me a lot of security what makes learning piano more joyful and relaxing. I can highly recommend her to any other student!
