I have studied a Degree in Mathematics in my country where I had the opportunity to specialise myself in Pure Mathematics, more concretely in Algebraic Geometry which is the field of my thesis. During those years apart from researching and studying hard to get outstanding marks I worked as tutor specially with undergraduate mathematics, physics and engineering students as well as last year of high school students focused on passing “PAU” the Spanish exam to access to university. English SL and Higher Level for the International Baccalaureate is a rigorous course, especially for ESL students. I completed the IB with HL English and received a 7 (highest mark) in my final exam. I will be able to go over both Standard Level and Higher Level syllabuses for the course specific to the material covered in your school, and prepare you for mock and final exams. I will include essay writing skills, literary criticism and analysis, as well as vocabulary expansion techniques in my teaching. A brief overview of the key features of English SL/HL as set by the International Baccalaureate Organisation:

• Higher level study requires a minimum of 240 class hours, while standard level study requires a minimum of 150 class hours
• Students study 13 works at higher level and 9 works at standard level from a representative selection of literary forms, periods and places

In this course, you will learn a range of linguistic methods and learn the terms used for describing a specific aspect of language or phenomenon (lexis, morphemes, and 'telegraphic stage' to give a few examples). The course requires you to explore your own data using quantitative and qualitative analysis (eg: how frequently are slang phrases used? Are there new auxiliaries being created?). No historical linguistics or literature is involved, but language change or specific traits will be sampled via your own data collection (if this is what is demanded in your course).

As many students need to present a "year abroad" dissertation at University level (3rd year in the UK of a Modern Languages or Linguistics Undergraduate course) I can help you to research and structure your year abroad work, both in English (Linguistics) and Romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish). A private tutor and coach for 10 years, I created my own coaching method with my colleagues Thibault and Charlie. We support many students full-time, systematically ensuring progress of at least 4 points on their average.

Depending on the student's assessment, the tutor recommends a tailor-made formula combining private lessons, adapting the number of hours per week and daily remote support.

Daily support focuses on training in REAL CONDITIONS: alone, without course materials or a teacher and with limited time.

The student then sends us their copy, and we provide them with a rigorously written answer key, the corrections for their copy, and their grade the same day. They can then immediately learn from their mistakes and redo the assignment perfectly. The goal is to learn automatically.

Through repetition, this method allows the student to:

- Never get stuck on a question during a DST again
- Improve your time management, by getting used to working in real conditions
- To improve the rigor of its writing
- To reduce the number of careless mistakes

In addition to the training sessions, each coach supports the student through private lessons or telephone coaching sessions, depending on their challenges. Coaching sessions provide time management advice, review work completed, and define future goals.

This monitoring allows us to be as close as possible to the student in their revision, being contactable at any time and being very responsive in correcting their copies.

This method allows us to guarantee a rapid increase in grades: on average, +4 points on the average in less than 6 months (see the numerous testimonials).

The results of this method compared to traditional private lessons are significantly superior. It has allowed many students to go from an average of 11-12 to over 16.
