I am a University of Cambridge researcher with the Master's of Architecture & Urban Design program. I have worked internationally as an educator; teaching undergraduate classes at Cambridge on portfolio development and research technique, and also coordinating the Design Thinking curriculum at UWC ISAK Japan. In addition to teaching I have worked in admissions at the University of Cambridge, interviewing prospective students and assessing their research proposals for both originality and academic value. In my teaching I synthesize my experience as a designer and knowledge of the university admissions system to provide you with comprehensive advice on how to optimally present yourself as a prospective student - both academically and personally. Previous students I have worked with to improve their portfolio and personal presentation skills have gone on to join the University of Cambridge and a variety of prestigious London universities from University College London to the Royal College of Art.

I've been passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge for many years, it brings me real joy to witness my students go on to achieve great things inside and outside of academia. This class is for students who require assistance with editing academic or other work.

My goal is to improve the English content of students' written work as well as grammar. I will provide constructive feedback to enable students to develop their writing. This class will be offered for GCSE English onwards and includes university dissertations and other pieces of written work.

Learning a second or third language is important and very useful in this day and age.
I like to make my classes fun, with different kind of interactive activities. I think it’s important for students want to put in the work which is why I find it important to keep students motivated.
The aim of these lessons, is for you to reach your goals and achieve the level of fluency you want to achieve, no matter what level you’re starting from. This of course all depends on the work you’re willing to put in! No matter what, these lessons will be helpful whether it’s a hobby or it’s for your career development.
I’ve had experience with students of all ages, mostly children, but some adults as well.

For Linguistics and Phonetics you will go through your university course assignments with me, we shall do "Chomskian trees" and we shall discuss theoretical points (eg GB theory, minimalist program). For Phonetics, IPA symbols and phonetic structures and theories (auto-segmental phonology and optimality theory). WARNING: there are many approaches to these theories, we shall go by what has been adopted at your university.
