I am looking forward to share my passion for Sciences with you! I offer private tutoring lessons using interactive approaches and methods adapted to each student. Lessons can be given in English or French. I recently obtained a Masters in Biomedical engineering at ETH Zurich and I have a large experience in applied Mathematics, Physics and Biology. The lessons I am offering are suitable for any level - from beginners to advanced students - both for secondary school and University programs. Per chi conosce bene l'Italiano e desiderasse studiare o approfondire un particolare autore o un testo letterario, sono disponibile per analisi, letture e lezioni specifiche sul tema richiesto. I am offering personalized Italian lessons, based on the needs and preferences of the student. I am available both to those who want to start discovering this language and to those who already have a good level of knowledge of Italian and wish to master it. It is important to be able to communicate right from the start in Italian, regardless of the level of knowledge you are beginning from; for this very reason, lessons are mainly in Italian and place particular emphasis on dialogue. My lessons are also aimed at those who are writing “papers” (dissertations, university texts, conferences, articles, work emails) and need corrections, feedback or commentary. For those who know Italian well and would like to study or explore a particular author or literary text, I am available for analysis, readings and specific lessons on the required topic.

Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language. What matters to me in particular: motivate my student and give him a learning rhythm; encourage creativity; make friends with language; letters and their sounds strengthen your memory by working on the phonological loop; teach construction plans instead of having people learn sentences by heart; explain how the language works to make my student independent as quickly as possible; breaking preconceived ideas such as the gammatical gender would have a link with the biological gender, the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, the verbs would be irregular, the declension would be random and therefore to be learned with each verb... ; place practice at the center and articulate grammar around practice. As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing. We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis. We will focus on the sounds and how to produce them. In the second part of the lesson, we will apply all of the above to the singing!

In this module I tutor in biology on a middle school to high school to college level, depending on what is required by the student. The possibilities vary from simple lessons about basic concepts all the way to the topics needed to pass ''end exams'' like the SAT, GCSE, MCAT and International Baccalaureate. My knowledge from medical school help me explain the material on a deeper level if the student requires so.

Sciences are some of the most challenging subjects in primary and middle school, and some of the most exciting nonetheless; I will help your child see the beauty and simplicity in the heart of physics, chemistry or biology, and thus excel at them.
