Oliver - The Hague, Netherlands40€
Trusted teacher: I am an interactive teacher of 5 years experience in schools. I have been a tutor for 13 years. I have taught physics and astronomy / astrophysics at university and have studied in science, education and science communication. My way of teaching is friendly and open, but clear and direct. I use lots of materials and interactive simulations and conceptual learning where possible. My abilities in education are incredibly strong and online getting better everytime I tutor. Given the previous situation with Covid. Online teaching has become second nature and I am happy to help your learning online. Teaching methodology: In order to teach a student effectively, it cannot simply be a matter of taking notes or going over the same material again and again. Students need time to connect concepts by approaching subjects from many angles. It takes practice and skill to make learning in a classroom interesting. I have been developing those skills over many years and continue to try and do so as I teach and learn myself!

Trusted teacher: Give your child the future he deserves. Graduated from Arts et Métiers ParisTech / 20/20 in mathematics at the Bac / preparatory class / Private teacher for 10 years Do you want to significantly increase your child's mathematical average? Do you want it to integrate a selective course? Do you want it to become autonomous? For 5 years, I have helped more than 30 French students in difficulty from middle school (sixth, fifth, fourth, third) and high school (second, first, final) to achieve their goals (good average, patent, bac, PREPA) and to regain self-confidence. My method in 3 points: - short term, significantly increase the average by assimilating the course and preparing for the next tests (assimilating the course, writing sheets, training in standard exercises, anticipating the teacher's expectations and test questions, having writing methods) - medium term, integrate reasoning and working methods (learn to work regularly in this order: assimilation, training exercise, test preparation and test analysis passes) - long-term, set a goal, build the steps to achieve this goal, become aware of the SIMPLICITY of math, have confidence in your abilities, unlock your potential) The formula: one or two sessions of 1h30/2h per week for the assimilation of the course and to prepare for the test. - Classes on Google Meet - Virtual whiteboard to assimilate faster - Library of 10 books online - More than 1000 exos online Questions ? Contact me and I will answer you.

Christian - Netherlands25€
Trusted teacher: My name is Christian, and I have a masters degree in Chemistry (Biomolecular sciences), and obtained a PhD in developmental Biology. For several years now I have been tutoring students for chemistry, math and physics. And perhaps I can help you too? Although my lessons are given online, the teaching is approached in a personal and lively way. To keep it simple and dynamic I make use of a marker and a whiteboard, and we would have an atmosphere that's in a way comparable to meeting at home. There's many possible reasons for a student to go look for tutoring, and many have different ways of studying. I'm always very involved with the student's goals and progress, and am optimistic and easily approachable in nature. In my experience there's always a safe and motivating atmosphere during the lessons, which works contagiously; understanding of the subject grows, but also a lot of confidence is gained! I'd love to hear from you!
Matías - Geneva, Switzerland29€
Trusted teacher: I am an aeronautical engineer and I am well aware of the frustration of not achieving the desired academic results. I was here. A lot of times. I find it very satisfying to teach and to see how my students achieve their goals. I sincerely believe that learning is a privilege and a pleasure. It is my top priority that my students feel this. My level of mathematics, physics and engineering is very competent. Although of course, for very specific topics or doubts, I will have to analyze whether I am able to teach lessons with ease or not. Do not hesitate to write to me. I am used to working with people of different ages. I believe in segmentation, visualization of progress, objective results and practice. For students who have difficulty I analyze the root of learning problems. And, above all, I try to motivate them. An ideal lesson time would be distributed as follows: 20 minutes question and answer and start from these gaps, 30 minutes to advance, 10 minutes lateral thinking. Beyond these general lines, there is no rule or magic method. Some things work with some students and not with others. Adapting to needs is really the goal of private lessons. So I will do my best to find what motivates and helps my student.

Trusted teacher: 90% of my students don't have an iPad. Just like me. It works fine on a PC. You can buy a WACOM to write with a stylus, instead of a mouse. No camera needed. I'm doing screen sharing. The students see directly what I write on the screen. -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- With me you will love math. Boss math, I had 100% in math during my primary and secondary. Selected every year for the Belgian Mathematical Olympiad, I also participated in other competitions where I was very well ranked at the national level. For me, there is no secret: practice, practice, practice ... The more you practice, the better you understand, the results will improve and you will love this material that is not so witch My pedagogy is flexible, I adapt to the student. Beyond repeating the classical theory, I explain things differently so that the student can understand better. I also like to accompany the student to do math exercises, so that the student can continue alone after my departure. Personalized math course for all types of needs - improve school results - special math & logic / reflection game during the holidays - preparation for the entrance exam for a new school / university

Trusted teacher: Hello, I am a Dr. in Physics now doing a reconversion. I travel the world and did some volunteering. I teach in remote schools for short periods and did scientific vulgarisation. Now I am back home and happy to teach different students. I help with homework and scholar programs. During the first class, we discuss what are your difficulties, your level, and your goals. We establish a chronogram. I have enough experience to adapt quickly to your level! Usually, we start working on the hour. In the next classes, I will always adapt. Indeed not all the subjects are the same. Some are easier for you and some are more difficult. I work online. I use zoom/skype. I use my iPad as a "whiteboard and we use google docs and e-calendar. Everything is smooth. all students I had this years were online.

Reza - The Hague, Netherlands28€
Trusted teacher: I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and currently I work as a post-doctoral researcher in Aerospace Engineering Faculty of TU Delft (Delft University of Technology). I have ample experience in teaching all the courses related to Engineering such as - Mathematics (algebra, probability, calculus, differential equations, intellectual math, and advanced engineering mathematics), - Mechanical engineering courses (Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of materials, Mechanical design, control, vibration, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Engineering drawing, Applied Mechanics, Composite Structures, Flight, Machine Elements, Manufacturing, 3D printing, etc), - Physics (mechanics, momentum and energy, electricity, charge and current, electric and magnetic fields, waves, particle physics, nuclear decay, astrophysics, cosmology, oscillations, etc), - CAD/CAM software (Autocad, Solidworks), and - Mechanical design packages (ANSYS, APDL programming, ABAQUS, MATLAB, Symbolic MATLAB, LS-DYNA). My more specific research and teaching interests are: • Additive manufacturing • Mechanical metamaterials • Acoustical metamaterials • Electromagnetic metamaterials • Aeroacoustics • Soft matter and soft robotics • Fatigue and fracture mechanics • Experimental mechanics • Multiscale numerical modelling • Biomaterials • Porous materials • Manufacturing of medical devices and implants • Deep learning • Image processing • Topology optimization • Origami and Kirigami structures • Self-folding and self-assembly structures • Tissue engineering • Permeability in porous materials • Fluid-Solid Interaction Not all the teachers are good at teaching Engineering and Mathematics courses and informing the students about the importance of what they are learning. That is why mathematical based engineering courses (such as Statics or Strength of Materials) are mostly boring for the students. The other problem that many students have with courses with strong mathematical background is that their mathematical basis is weak and therefore they cannot follow the course. I usually try to start my course from the basics and therefore actively engage as many students as possible in the class (even the weak ones). I also usually try to inform the students about the importance of what they are learning in the class by giving them some examples. This makes them more inspired and interested into what they are learning. If you have extra questions before starting a class, don't hesitate to ask me :)
