I'm a musician, composer and producer from the UK with more than 20 yrs teaching experience. I give classes for guitar, bass guitar, theory, composition, arranging, mixing and production in English with intermediate Spanish. I have my own approach to teaching drawn from my own inspirational teachers and the experience of teaching, performing and recording for over 30 years. I adapt to the needs and goals of the student, but a typical 1st year class for guitar would involve focusing on a variety of pieces in different styles and suggestions of any helpful technical exercises, reading, rhythm playing, expanding chord/harmony knowledge and supporting theory. In time I would include new techniques as required by the piece and style and improvisation/composition to follow the student’s interest. I have developed an accelerated program with the goal of the student playing their favourite pieces as soon as possible. My constant aim is to find the right balance between student motivation and a thorough musical grounding, equipping the student for the future. If you're starting or improving guitar or need help with your songs ask me anything.

My goal is for you to learn to play, nothing more. Play at your own pace, without pressure, but be able to play any piece. Not just memorize a few, but be able to understand and make music without my guidance. What will we do? Aural training, motor technique, and some sight-reading to teach you the color palette that musicians use. My 1-hour sessions are dynamic and designed to develop your technique, creativity, and expression. What will we work on? • Improvisation and composition in real time. • Auditory training (a very fun game where we learn to "draw" the notes that sound in the air). • Reading, harmony and practical resources adapted to your level. Additionally, if you want to take your music to the next level, I teach music production with DAWs (like Logic Pro), sequencers, and MIDI controllers. I'll work around your schedule because I know we all work towards our dreams. I'll provide you with all the necessary materials. We'll work on technique, practical resources to improve your sound and fluency, and even a section on songwriting so you can create your own songs, developing progressions and structures in a simple way. All of this takes place in a relaxed, friendly, and motivating environment. If you're a beginner, don't worry: we'll start from scratch and you'll progress step by step, enjoying the process from the very first lesson.

My teaching method adapts to each student's needs and prior knowledge. I place great importance on ensuring they can play from the beginning, incorporating music theory gradually and always based on the needs of each piece or exercise. This way, we avoid overwhelming them with abstract concepts and learn them in context, when they're truly needed. I am patient and flexible, and I understand that each person has their own pace, strengths, and challenges. The goal is to provide personalized support throughout the learning process, making each class enjoyable, stimulating, and enriching.
