Trusted teacher: Are you looking for math tutoring for yourself or for your child/student, from primary school to all levels of secondary education? Then I can help you. I am patient and do more than just help with homework. First we examine together whether the problem is general or there are just a few specific questions. For some specific questions, we can probably solve the problems with some extra lessons, for example in the run-up to exams or a big test to cross the i's and cross the t's. For larger problems such as study method problems, we will have to opt for more structural tutoring in consultation with the parents/student (can be once a week/2 weeks/month, for example). I don't have a magic wand, but if the child is motivated, we can really achieve a lot. Online tutoring is possible, but I prefer more traditional methods: I sit next to the student and we work with pen and paper, with or without the parent nearby (some young people feel calmer if the parent stays nearby, others find it which is embarrassing; I'm also a stranger to the parent, so I understand if you want to stay close). I prefer as little screen time as possible, I can show examples on the computer, for example we can make graphs and calculations in wolfram alpha or I can provide geometric animations in geogebra. I studied mathematics and teacher training at KULeuven. I have hundreds of hours of experience in tutoring. I participated in the summer course for incoming secondary education students who want to test whether their mathematics level is up to standard to start a mathematics or engineering course at university. You are welcome at my home in Antwerp or I can travel to your home in the wider area around Antwerp. Please let us know if you are interested. My agenda is not always predictable, but it is quite flexible. If you are interested, please contact me and we will find a time that suits you. I will make time for you.

Trusted teacher: Hi, I'm Ashika! With over 3 years of tutoring experience and a role as a teaching assistant at university, I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals. I believe that with the right resources and mindset, any student can excel, and I am dedicated to supporting you in that journey. I think the most important thing with math is practice and learning from mistakes. Each incorrect answer is an opportunity to understand the correct approach for future problems! In addition to math, I can assist high school students with both basic and advanced computer programming concepts. Mathematics Topics: -Algebra -Geometry -Trigonometry -Calculus (AP and beyond) -Probability and Statistics -Problem-Solving Techniques Curriculums Covered: IGCSE, A-Levels, IB, CBSE About My Sessions: I believe that engagement and active participation are key to learning math, especially in a one-on-one setting. My approach focuses on practice and working through questions, which helps identify and address the student's main areas of difficulty. By using exam questions and worked examples, I can follow the student's thought process and provide targeted assistance to help them grasp challenging concepts. Whether you're aiming to boost your scores on standardized tests or striving for excellence in your coursework, I’m here to guide you. I tailor each session to your specific learning needs and am open to suggestions on additional topics or concepts to cover. Together, we will work on improving weaknesses and enhancing strengths, preparing you for future success.

Trusted teacher: Who is actually the tutor? I am Michael and with my 54 years a lot of life experience but also experience as a (1st degree) teacher in Mathematics and Physics. My 3 children aged 12 to 18 also make sure that I know how to deal with this interesting but sometimes difficult to understand target group 😏. I have taught at all levels from VMBO 2 to VWO 6 and HBO. Benefits 1 on 1 tutoring 1 on 1 tutoring has the great advantage that the tutor can efficiently zoom in on the specific needs of the student. Results are therefore visible in a much shorter period of time. A result can be higher test results and more confidence in the subject during lessons or doing homework. The result is often that the student no longer looks forward to the subject and even starts to like the subject. In short: it's all about experiencing a successful experience. Activating work forms A student learns best when he or she is actively involved with the material. That is why it is important that every student is actively involved during the tutoring. This applies in particular to science subjects such as Mathematics and Physics. The tutor can therefore better emphasize coaching the student and encourage the student to do as much as possible for themselves. This ensures that the student starts thinking independently about the material. So we go through the process together. Beta subjects For science subjects such as Physics and Mathematics, 3 competencies are particularly important; knowledge, understanding and skills. There are working methods for improving all three competences. So there are opportunities for every student to improve. During the intake lesson it is determined which of the 3 competences (or more) needs the most attention.

I have been working with Pakshal for quite some time now and i have only been improving. He is a very well educated and structured teacher. When something is not clear he does not move on until I understand that point very well. He always has different ways of approach to a specific math problem and he has different ways to solve each. When explaining a solution, he usually explains in different ways that would make it easier to understand. That includes using real life examples. Pakshal is very flexible as well, we are always able to schedule during good times and whenever there is am emergency, we are able to reschedule without any issues. He is a very passionate teacher. He is also a great friend when needed! Definitely recommend him!
