Throughout the past 17 years I have played a wide variety of different guitar genres. From classical to jazz, and from pop to funk. Nowadays I mostly write and play my own music which is a mix of all those genres. My approach to learning and playing music has always been very much based on intuition and the emphasis is not as much on theory. I would be happy to teach you how to use more intuition while playing and/or writing music. I also play piano and sing if you want to learn more about any of those! Lastly, I teach courses and workshops about creativity so if you want to explore your own creativity and get a better understanding of your own creative processes in relation to music then I can definitely help you out with that!

I studied classical guitar in Argentina and Spain, i've taught since i was a child and i have 3 trinity college degrees on classical guitar, rock and pop guitar and music theory. I have experience both with electric and classic/acoustic guitar and diverse genres such as rock, jazz, pop, blues, tango, classical, etc...

Hi I'm Daniel, an enthusiastic and dedicated guitar teacher who loves meeting his students' own goals. By combining my 6 years of experience in teaching guitar with my students' own interests, I help my students make progress in the most engaging way possible. I provide my students with a grounding in the basics of technique and theory to make sure they develop good habits, enabling them to make use of the near-infinite resources online when they want to play and learn more in their free time and later in life. I believe a good teacher is one who makes their students able to go on independently and with joy and passion for their instrument. Learn your favourite songs, demystify music theory, learn how songs are written (and get help writing your own), learn to play songs by ear, explore a range of genres... I look forward to helping you with your own musical journey!

Course I: Vocal lessons The vocal lessons are designed on the student’s needs, meaning that during the lessons we will work on whatever is there to improve in order to let you get the most from your singing voice! During the lessons we will learn exercises to warm up and cool down the voice (so a pre- and a post- workout); we will work on vocal technique, doing specific exercises based on specific needs; we will work on the repertoire, choosing appropriate songs according to your taste and to what suits your voice the best. But, most of all, we are going to have FUN while learning and improving! For the first lesson it would be ideal to bring one song that you know well and that you like to sing and preferably you sang already. You don’t have any song yet? no problem at all, we will start with nice exercises and we can choose together a song to work on! Course II: Guitar lessons Have you ever wanted to improve your guitar skills with the goal of accompanying your voice while singing? During this lessons we can work together to find the best way to accompany yourself, using the guitar as a support for your beautiful voice! You will learn nice voicings, left and right hand technique and how to groove with nice rhythmical patterns.

The lesson can take many shapes and forms. The main benefit of learning with a teacher, rather than from a video or a book, is that each lesson can be different and tailored to your needs! For example, you can bring a song you're trying or want to learn (recording or sheet music/tab) and we'll work on it together. You can come with a specific problem like a part or technique you cannot get right. Maybe you are just in a place where you don't know what to do next. Don't worry, I'll help you set your musical voyage on course. Finally, if you don't want or feel like bringing anything, you just want to come and have fun playing and talking about music — that's also great! Here are the examples of different problems I can help you solve: • arranging songs you like on the guitar, • improving technique by playing music you like, • upgrading the campfire chops, • composing indie lines and sounds, talking about pedals, • learning to improvise, • learning music theory, • learning jazz standards, • basics of recording, making demos, and backing tracks. If you like the sound of that, send me a message! I will help you navigate the universe of music you like or hear in your head – regardless of the genre or your level of advancement.

Looking for guitar lessons? You've come to the right place! Whether you're a complete beginner or an advanced player looking to take your skills to the next level, I've got you covered. My teaching approach is all about tailoring the lessons to your needs and interests, so you can learn at your own pace and enjoy the process. In our lessons, we'll dive into the practical side of playing, covering techniques, chord progressions, rhythm patterns, and melodic improvisation. You'll get to jam along to awesome songs and exercises that will help you develop a solid foundation in jazz, rock, funk, and blues. For the ones interested, we'll also explore the theoretical side of music. I'll guide you through scales, modes, harmony and improvisation. This knowledge will not only improve your playing but also give you the freedom to create your own music and express yourself on the guitar. Whether you dream is performing on stage, jamming with friends or simply strumming your favorite tunes in your bedroom, I'll help you reach your goals and become the guitarist you want to be.

My name is Maaike, I am 25 years old and graduated from the Haarlem Conservatory in May 2018, majoring in singing. From an early age I have enjoyed playing the piano, both classical and popular music, and soon started singing and accompanying myself on piano and guitar. Nowadays I also write songs myself, for myself and others, and I play my repertoire live with a band called MYCA. In June 2021 I completed a master's degree in Songwriting at the Conservatory in Rotterdam. Since 2017 I have been giving private or duo singing lessons, piano lessons, and guitar lessons at home in Haarlem. Do you want to be able to guide yourself? Combination lessons for singing/piano or singing/guitar are also possible! Lessons at home in Bloemendaal, Heemstede, Overveen, or Aerdenhout are also possible, inquire about the possibilities.

Either working on the fundamentals of bass or guitar, left/right hand techniques, a specific song or even developing a more advanced playing, I always strive to bring insight and enjoyment over our music practice, I believe this is essential to connect with our creativity in a practical way, and massively improve our playing. Normally, a lesson would be part of a cycle of lessons, involving a strategy specially adapted to the student’s needs, in that sense, we will work towards the music you are into, and grow in specific areas of your music practice and playing.

Teaching songs you don't really like is a no-go for me. I'll help you figure out which 'classics' are there to practice on and I'll give advice about technique and timing etc.. Also, if you're really curious, I can teach you some music theory. My general goal is to get you hooked to playing. When bored, grab your guitar, not your phone!
