Trusted teacher: I am a native American English speaking instructor, editor, journalist, and legal/policy expert from Florida specializing in instruction, interview and exam prep, consulting and text correction for a wide range of professionals & students across Belgium including in the legal, academic, policy, and other fields. I am available to meet in both Brussels. My past & present clients have included: professionals and politicians from all four major EU institutions, the Belgian government, the UNHCR, and various NGOs, alongside diplomats, doctors, journalists, and engineers, as well as a variety of other professions in addition to traditional students..I have had over 35+ repeat students on Apprentus (which recently changed their algorithm to only display the last six months). Approaching from a true native's perspective, I instruct and assist with both educational and business English in a multi-faceted nature covering a wide range of areas including comprehension, conversation, grammar, and situational skills, in addition to working on general language skills and accent training. As well, I can provide extensive help and training with the EPSO, IELTS, and TOEFL exams. I have also written, edited or proofread a variety of academic papers, theses, applications, CVs, and other documents for numerous satisfied academic and professional clients. I have spent my entire childhood and adult life in the United States before completing a master's degree in Political Science and European Politics at KU Leuven. Additionally, I also possess Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and History. I have an extensive knowledge and experience of English grammar and literature, as well as current and past working experience in journalism (Anti-Competition Law and European Policy at the Policy and Regulatory Report) and both European and American politics. I have no problem meeting anywhere in Brussels or further afield within the region. I also handle correction of text, editing, proofreading and ghostwriting, with weekly and monthly rates possible. Why not learn learn two things at once? I offer guitar tutoring IN English! Why Guitar AND English? There is a growing body of research that promotes the benefits of combining musical practice with learning a language. Playing an instrument develops the brain's ability to process sounds and rhythm, improves memory through the retention of chords, notes and lyrics, and requires discipline and motivation to keep going. All of these support language learning. Why me? I am a qualified CELTA English teacher with 15 years experience in education, as well as a lifetime of playing guitar. I have performed live in bands and community groups, and delivered guitar and music therapy sessions throughout my career. What Will You Learn? I will build a programme around your musical goals and your favourite artists and styles so that the lessons are as fun and enjoyable for you as possible. Depending on your musical goals and ability, the lessons range from very the basics of how to look after and maintain your instrument, through to playing some of your favourite songs and melodies. I can cover useful playing techniques, warm up exercises and alternative ways to tune your instrument, as well as how to read and understand tablature. For those looking to advance their playing, we can work towards keys, scales and solos, or how to play in a variety of musical styles. By teaching in English, I will help you to build your vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence in speaking the language, all while learning how to play your favourite songs in a fun and relaxing environment. If you're interested in guitar and building your English skills, get in touch!

Hello, my name is Daniela. I'm seventeen years old, being born January 6, 2009. I have been learning English for fifteen years, and ever since I have found it as an amazing tool to discover new interests and cultures across barriers. I currently study in an international school, which means I learn all my material in English As a teacher, I would like to help my students grow their interest in English and reach a level where they find theirselves comfortable speaking the language. I know learning languages is really tricky, but it can be easier with the right approach. I have never tutored before, but I already have a few ideas in mind on how to work in my students. An ideal class for me would be - Spending the first ten minutes talking about the student's news and how they're doing at school. I also consider mental health really important and I would love to be a support figure for my student. During these ten minutes, I could help the student figure out vocabulary words they don't know, keeping a "Vocabulary notebook" for new words learnt in the class. - After the icebreaking session, we would work on the material the student is learning in class. I would like to recieve it in advance so I can work on a mind-map or explanation for the student to understand the concept step-by-step. - If we have time, I would look for listening, reading and writing exercises based on the student's level (A1, A2...) so we can work on it together - To finish, I would reserve 5 minutes so my student can tell me how they feel about the class and what we can change to improve. I will also recommend material in English (books, series...) for the student to engage with in their free time I love teaching English to others, and I will try to make the classes easier and not very heavy. I have studied English in school for a long time, and I have found that English lessons at school are heavily grammar-focused and not very intuitive. I would love my classes to be fun, interactive and entretaining, so my student can associate the language with something fun and comforting, not just a boring subject to study. My classes will be targeted towards primary and secondary school students.

Justin is a true professional and is really gifted at helping job seekers in their career path. He assisted me a lot with career advice, job application adaptation and proofreading. He is really good at communication, reading between the lines, and highlighting the core idea. Our lessons or as I would rather call it a master class, were absolutely great and easy going. Thank you very much, Justin, for your amazing approach, custom-made professional and easy attitude, and a super international mindset. I would very much recommend it!

We had the first lesson with Gohar. Gohar is very capable to adjust to the level of experience and take the student from there. Speaking French but if necessary she explains in English. Very happy with the way Gohar is teaching.
