Hi there!
I am an experienced maths tutor from the UK living in Tokyo. After starting originally with teaching A-level's, I now teach everything, from university courses and IB to secondary and primary.
My speciality however is in teaching mathematical problem solving, in preparation for exams such as STEP, and University entrance exams. For younger learners, this takes them beyond their syllabus, developing critical thinking and problem solving skills often not acquired through the more rigid school curriculum.
I am a a firm believer in learning though doing in my lessons. I focus on teaching the fundamental intuition and logic of the mathematics we are working on, followed by solving problems and completing exercises to cement your understanding and develop your exam ability.
