SAT Prep tutoring (EBRW, Math, Math Level 2, Chemistry)
I have ample experience with taking SAT's, specifically Math, Math Level 2, and Chemistry Subject Tests. My highest scores are (listed respectively): 740, 760, 710. Having done many tactical and technical mistakes during my own preparation, I will help you get the desired score without spending time unnecessarily. First, we will develop a strategy tailored specifically for your target score and time availability, and then I will guide you through that process up to the very test date. We will use the SAT prep resources that I found most useful during my preparation.

Orest
Mathematics, Probability and Statistics Tutoring in Tallin
I have an extensive experience with teaching Mathematics and Statistics at levels from high schooll all the way to university level. I was a mathematics teacher in Romania and Canada, taught and tutored at levels from high school to university in Toronto, Canada and San Diego, USA. My last Mathematics job was in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, San Diego, as a researcher Mathematician. To be precise, I was in the research group of Prof. David Meyer from UCSD, specializing mainly in quantum computing, and also doing project in data mining (like for instance analysis of mobile phone data and processing of satellite images). I have a PhD in mathematics from UCSD (area being representation of Lie groups). At this moment I find myself in Tallin before starting a new position again at UCSD. I like the city very much and want to earn my daily bread while I am here and no appeal to other financial reserves. Moreover, I enjoy teaching and explaining whatever I understand in Mathematics, Probability and Statistics to whoever is interested. In my youth I was somewhat of a prodigy and went to the International Mathematical Olympiad with the Romanian team. That is if anybody would wonder why I am not working already as a Mathematician. I will soon, but in the meantime, I want to use my talent to earn some money here in Estonia. I have a Romanian citizenship. I speak fluently Romanian, English, Russian, French, and well enough German. At this moment I am also learning Estonian. I am hoping to find people that are interested in whatever knowledge i have to share. In my opinion, and not only mine, I am not only a good Mathematician, but I have a talent to make things clearer for the student. This applies to all levels, even from elementary to quite advanced. Come and try me and you will not be disappointed.

Tutor for Math, Physics, and Mechanical/Material Engineering courses
I hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and currently work as a post-doctoral researcher in the Aerospace Engineering Faculty at TU Delft (Delft University of Technology). My extensive teaching experience covers a wide range of engineering courses, including: - Mathematics: algebra, linear algebra, probability, calculus, differential equations, intellectual math, and advanced engineering mathematics. - Mechanical Engineering: Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of materials, Mechanical design, control, vibration, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Engineering drawing, Applied Mechanics, Composite Structures, Flight, Machine Elements, Manufacturing, 3D printing, and more. - Physics: mechanics, momentum and energy, electricity, charge and current, electric and magnetic fields, waves, particle physics, nuclear decay, astrophysics, cosmology, oscillations, etc. - CAD/CAM Software: Autocad, Solidworks. - Mechanical Design Packages: ANSYS, APDL programming, ABAQUS, MATLAB, Symbolic MATLAB, LS-DYNA. My research and teaching interests are diverse, including: • Additive manufacturing • Mechanical metamaterials • Acoustical metamaterials • Electromagnetic metamaterials • Aeroacoustics • Soft matter and soft robotics • Fatigue and fracture mechanics • Experimental mechanics • Multiscale numerical modelling • Biomaterials • Porous materials • Manufacturing of medical devices and implants • Deep learning • Image processing • Topology optimization • Origami and Kirigami structures • Self-folding and self-assembly structures • Tissue engineering • Permeability in porous materials • Fluid-Solid Interaction I understand that not all teachers excel in teaching Engineering and Mathematics courses and explaining their importance to students. Courses with strong mathematical backgrounds may become boring for students who lack a solid mathematical basis. To address this, I take a student-centered approach, starting from the basics to actively engage all students, including those with weaker mathematical backgrounds. I also provide practical examples to demonstrate the real-world significance of what they are learning, inspiring and fostering their interest in the subject matter. If you have any additional questions before starting a class, please feel free to ask me. I am here to assist! :)

Dariusz
Economics, Mathematics, Statistics and preparation for exams
Hi, having trouble preparing for a colloquium or exam in economics? Don't worry, I'm here to help you! You're in luck because you've come across a real passionate math and economics tutor. My name is Dariusz Markovski and I have been tutoring economics and math for 3 years. For those who are not familiar with the subject, I use an approach that is based on what I call 'common sense'. I have approached many of the humanists who have had classes with me by using simple language and real-world examples to explain complex economic concepts. For example, instead of using mathematical formulas, I start with an analogy from everyday life, so when explaining the law of demand, the following rule of thumb can be used: "the more expensive something is, the less we are able to buy it". In economics, mathematics is essential to understand and solve complex problems, so I offer my students a solid mathematical knowledge that will enable them to better understand economics and deal with tasks more effectively. I have been tutoring students in science for over 3 years, with a focus on microeconomics, macroeconomics and mathematics. During the lessons, we additionally build the foundations and strengthen the knowledge of mathematics (derivatives of one variable, derivatives of two variables, linear function, quadratic function, graphical elaboration of tasks). It is possible to work together at all stages of learning. **The knowledge you gain will not only help you pass quizzes but also during exams. So, you pay for exercises, but you receive additional knowledge for the exam, which means you gain twice as much by paying once. Topics covered in the lessons: Microeconomics: - Theory of supply and demand. - Elasticity of supply and demand. - Fundamentals of consumer economic decisions (consumer). - Consumer demand. - Fundamentals of producer economic decisions (producer). - Production costs. - Perfect competition. - Pure monopoly. - Monopolistic competition. - Oligopoly. Macroeconomics: - National income accounting. - Determinants of national income. - Economic growth. - Government budget and fiscal policy. - Money and monetary policy. - Government's budget and fiscal policy. - Unemployment. - Inflation. - International trade and trade policy. - Classical model. - Keynesian model. - IS-LM model. - AS-AD model. A few words about me: BSc in economics (Poznan University of Economics and Business) with the specialization of business strategies in the global economy. MSc in economics (Vienna University of Economics and Business). It's already 3 years as I have been tutoring students from math and economics. I was facing different students with different levels of knowledge, but the most prominent lesson that my students learned from me is that it's not important what amount of knowledge you actually possess, the most crucial thing is to just start learning by baby steps. All of my students were always contented after a few first lessons and finally, they've managed to pass the exams from economics and mathematics.
