Hello! I just finished my Bachelor in Piano and I am looking to teach Piano and Music Theory if requested. I know how important it is to have a good relationship with the piano and the teacher, therefore I am very flexible since every student has different needs. I have been playing piano since I was a little girl and I think that it is very important to create a strong and healthy relationship with the instrument through the teacher.
Every student is different, therefore, I am very flexible with my way of teaching depending on the students needs and personality because everyone is stimulated differently and the main goal is learning in a fun way.
I have also taught before, I finished a course of Pedagogical Education that lasted one year and gave private lessons to students of all ages.
I am very patient, mostly because my only goal is to make the students fall in love with piano, just the way I did.

Formación

My major in High School was Piano, I finished it with a 17 in Madeira, Portugal. I had several Masterclasses throughout the years, studied one semester in Finland (Erasmus+), and concluded my Bachelor in Piano in Antwerp. My mother was also a music teacher and she passed a lot of information to me.

The lessons are adapted to the level of the students. From starters until bachelor, from kids to adults.

The metholodogy will variate according to the purpouses of the students.

The students age 3 can also start playing the violin or the viola.

I have more than 10 years of experience teaching all ages in private lessons and official schools. I have formation on Yamaha system for children.
My way of teaching involves, in addition of technical and interpretation skills, the relation between all kinds of arts and periods. I have also official studies in theatre and literature.
All piano classes, depending on the age and the interests of the students, are divided into technique, playing, improvisation, creative plays and some of basic composing knowledge.
Voice classes involve all genres of music and we work in technique and ways of interpretation. Theatre and character creation, posture... are also trained.
I can teach in English but also in Spanish, Catalan and Italian :).

I gained experience playing with Brussels Philharmonic, La Chapelle Sauvage and La Monnaie/De Munt. I used to teach in some music schools in Spain during 4 years. In my 20+ years playing the cello I have been lucky to build an international career as a solo and orchestral musician in places like Bremen (Germany), Sweden (Göteborg), Spain (Malaga), and Belgium (Gent). I have 4+ years worth of experience teaching online/in person, in multiple countries, as well as a C1 Cambridge certificate of English. I also have a B1 level of Nederlands. I have music articles published as well.

My philosophy of teaching is to teach my students in a comprehensive way how to use their body 100% efficiently.

I will teach them how to play in the most natural way, getting rid of tensions and fears in the process. I will tackle this as cello technique, but I will also work on being expresive and how to make the cello sing.
