Hoi! Ik ben een toegewijde en gepassioneerde vioolleraar met jarenlange ervaring in zowel optredens als instructie. Mijn lesgeven is geworteld in het opbouwen van sterke banden met mijn studenten, het creëren van een warme en aanmoedigende omgeving waarin ze zich op hun gemak voelen om te leren en hun muzikale potentieel te verkennen.

In mijn lessen streef ik ernaar om het leren van de viool een lonende en plezierige reis te maken. Ik geloof in het stellen van duidelijke doelen die zijn afgestemd op elke student, van basisvaardigheden voor beginners tot geavanceerde technieken voor degenen die klaar zijn om hun artisticiteit te verfijnen. Mijn lesgeven combineert gestructureerde begeleiding met creativiteit, waarbij de nadruk ligt op technische vaardigheden en expressief, muzikaal spel. Ik geef prioriteit aan geduld, aanpassingsvermogen en luisteren naar de behoeften van studenten, om hen te helpen zelfvertrouwen en een ware liefde voor de viool op te bouwen.

Ik ben een ervaren violist met een rijke achtergrond in zowel solo- als kamermuziekuitvoeringen. De afgelopen 20 jaar heb ik deelgenomen aan talloze orkest- en vioolmasterclasses en heb ik opgetreden op verschillende festivals en wedstrijden. Mijn ervaring omvat een reeks solorecitals, orkestuitvoeringen en kamerensembleconcerten, die allemaal mijn vaardigheden hebben aangescherpt en mijn expertise hebben verdiept. Deze diverse achtergrond stelt mij in staat om een hoog niveau van muzikaal inzicht, precisie en passie in mijn lesgeven te brengen, en studenten te begeleiden om hun volledige potentieel in viooluitvoering te bereiken.

Ik heb concerten gegeven in verschillende landen, zoals België, Spanje, Duitsland, Rusland, Japan, Litouwen en Wit-Rusland.
Winnaar van diverse internationale muziekwedstrijden ("De Nacht in Madrid" 3e prijs," Märkische Musiktage "2e prijs," Furioso Vierde Internationale Vioolwedstrijd 2021 " 1e prijs).
Ik volgde masterclasses bij het Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen. In 2018 liep ik stage als viooldocent in Moskou.
Deelnemer aan het Kogan festival in Rusland. Op 5-jarige leeftijd begon ik met vioolspelen. Ondertussen heb ik 13 jaar ervaring in verschillende orkesten en kamermuziekensembles. Als onderdeel van mijn studie organiseerde ik een soloconcert in de Sint-Nicolaaskerk in Gent.

I really enjoy teaching and performing, and I have previous experience as a flute teacher back in Spain, so I would like to have some new students here in Ghent as well. I can also help you with other music stuff like theory, solfege and harmony if you want that. In addition to experience as a performing musician, I am also active as a teacher of solfège and cello. I have experience as a teacher with children and adults.

Today - after completing an extensive selection procedure - Laurens is professionally active as a clarinetist with the Royal Marine Band, one of the prestigious orchestras of the Belgian army.

In addition to his education at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent, Laurens has had the opportunity to learn several times in a number of masterclasses by, among others, Arno Piters (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra), Davide Lattuada (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra), Bart de Karter (New Amsterdam Clarinet Quartet), Pascal Moragues (Orchester de Paris), Ricardo Mataredonna (The La Monnaie Theatre), David Van Maele (Royal Music Chapel of the Guides), Bart Watté (Royal Music Chapel of the Guides) etc.

Both as a freelancer and an active member, Laurens has played in various orchestras, such as the Royal Band of the Belgian Air Force, Frascati Symphonic, the Euregio Youth Orchestra, the Mahler Student Festival Orchestra, La Chapelle Sauvage, Flanders Young Symphony Orchestra, the Ghent University Symphony Orchestra, the Ghent University Harmony Orchestra...

Since 2021, Laurens has been a member of the Meraki Wind Quintet, with which he has already successfully participated in a number of competitions, including the IMC International Music Competition 2023 (1er Prix à l'unanimité), the Euterpe Music Awards 2022 (gold prize), the Classic Pure Vienna International Music Competition 2022 (special mention), and the Fanny Mendelssohn International Online Competition 2022/23 (second prize).

In addition, Laurens is also active as a conductor, both in a symphonic and harmonic orchestra. He takes conducting lessons with Kristiina Posska (chief conductor of Flanders Symphony Orchestra), Bart Picqueur (composer and conductor) and Dimitri Bracke (conductor) and is active as a permanent conductor with the Fantasietjes in the Muziekvereniging Bellegem and freelance with various other associations.

I am Jess, a musician and producer from Ghent, graduated as a bachelor in music at PXL Hasselt. In the meantime I have been teaching guitar for 10 years at music studios and in the form of private lessons at home. Besides teaching I have my own project called Monagi and I write/produce for bands like Tout Va Bien and Patches. I also play guitar at TheShadow Machine. All my lessons take place in a relaxed atmosphere in my music studio in Ghent at your own pace.

For beginners: During our guitar lesson you can bring your own songs that you want to work on or together we will see what the best songs are for you and what you can learn the most from. This ranges from the basic chords that make up most pop / rock songs to playing along with the melody or accompanying yourself while singing. So you can play what you always dreamed of in no time!

For advanced users: Together we look at what you want to work on in terms of rhythm, soloing or improvisation. Which styles you are familiar with or which you would like to learn to play.
