Course description:
This violin lesson is designed for music enthusiasts of all levels, from beginners to more advanced musicians. With my expertise and my experience, you will benefit from a personalized education, focused on the development of your technical and artistic skills. Each lesson will be tailored to your specific needs and musical goals.

Course content :
For beginners, we'll start with learning the basics of the violin, including how to hold a violin, bow, and find the best way to play. For intermediates, we're going to see the improvement in technique for intermediate levels, focusing more on intonation, articulation and bow control. In any case, we will explore the classical repertoire and well-known melodies to develop your musical sensitivity, to be chosen together. :) At the end we will find together an effective way for the work to be done at home!

I am a young experienced and enthusiastic cello teacher. In the past few years, I have been teaching in the UK at the Royal College of Music Junior Department in London, in primary schools, and privately. I am new to Geneva and I have just started my new teaching job at Ecolint, International School of Geneva. I teach children age 5-10, teenagers and adults.
My teaching approach is to give the passion for music while building technical abilities and confidence. Discipline is important, and so is fun !
In the past, I have created cello ensembles for young children and I hope to be able to develop the same teaching outfit in Geneva as I had in London.
I can teach in English or in French, the ABC system or the Do-Re-Mi system, and work towards various goals including ABRSM exams, concerts, etc. I am fluent in English as I was in London for over 10 years and French is my native language.

My name is Laurence. I have been playing the piano since I was 5 years old and I have been teaching it for over 20 years. I have experience teaching children from the age of 5 and adults of all levels.

A graduate of the conservatories of Aix-en-Provence (DEM) and Montpellier (DEM) in France, I completed my studies at the Geneva University of Music, where I earned a Master of Arts in piano pedagogy.
