Hi, I'm Heewon from South Korea. I'm a graduate of the HKU Conservatory's Jazz & Pop department, majoring in jazz piano, though alongside that, I've continued studying classical piano, as well as composition and arranging. For over 6 years, I've taught students ranging from young children (6 to 7 years old) to adults in their 50s and beyond, covering genres from jazz and pop to classical and new age, along with music theory. I've also performed extensively in both South Korea and the Netherlands, at festivals, jazz bars, and government related events, playing not only jazz standards but my own arrangements and original compositions. I believe music is something we simply can't live without today. It surrounds us everywhere we go, woven into daily life. I have been a musician for as long as I can remember. I started when I was a kid as a trumpet player. I played in many different kinds of orchestras and had a lot of fun with this instrument, but it was nothing compare to my love for singing! I am Carlos (08/02/1992), professional violinist and violin and viola teacher. I started playing the violin when I was 15 years old. This means I can still clearly remember the methods and techniques I used to learn how to play the violin. I will certainly take these experiences with me into my teaching position.
