I offer personalized English classes to improve both oral and written communication. The focus of these classes will be on improving communication and fluency in American English. Classes will consist of conversation with an emphasis on grammar and correct pronunciation along with reading and writing exercises to reinforce key concepts and vocabulary. We will use conversation, life experiences, current events, articles, worksheets, games and more during class. This class can also help you prepare for your TOEFL/TOESL Exam. I will help you achieve your goal, whether it is for work, school, or personal reasons.
I have been teaching English as a foreign language for more than 10 years. I am a certified TEFL teacher and I specialize in tutoring adult learners in English as a Second Language (ESL).

Hello! My name is Alice and I was born and raised near Seattle, Washington. I have lived in many parts of the United States, including Colorado, North Carolina, Arizona, and now Texas. I have also lived in Bolivia in South America and learned to speak Spanish while living there. I know what it is like to learn a new language while living in a new place and adapting to a different culture.
I love languages! I have loved learning new languages (French and Spanish) and I love sharing my knowledge of English with my students. I am a natural teacher and adapt my teaching style to match my student's best learning mode. I have taught not only English, but also piano and music for more than 20 years so I have lots of experience working with students of all ages.
HOBBIES & INTERESTS
I enjoy playing piano and keyboard. I also enjoy travel, camping, swimming, pickleball, good movies and mystery novels.
