Hi there,
I’m Lizzie, a biology graduate and qualified teacher with over a decade’s experience of working in education.
I believe in the importance of dialogue in teaching and learning. When taking classes with me, you can expect to be challenged with questions adapted to your level, and I hope we can engage in discussions over the topics you find most interesting or need more support with.
Having taught in one of Beijing’s top international schools for five years, I have learned to adapt my teaching style to a range of different learning needs. Whether you are looking for additional practice with foundational concepts for science study, or you hope to extend your learning with projects developed to support future school applications, I would be thrilled to help you achieve your goals.
Although I prefer classes to take place in English, I also speak basic Mandarin.

- Teaching iGCSE biology to students aged 14-16, with 95% achieving their target grades.
- Teaching biology, chemistry and physics to students aged 11-14.
- Crafting bespoke curricula for science students with high level language needs.
- Mentoring university applicants to decide their choice of major and guiding exploration of that subject.
- Facilitating group and one-on-one discussion sessions with students aged 15-18 to aid development of critical thinking skills, and to raise awareness of current global issues.
- Creating and leading English-language writing and values classes for students aged 18 and over.
