U kan les volgen via webcam, of bij u thuis in de buurt van regio Gent - Kortrijk.
Indien uzelf geen instrument ter beschikking heeft is er mogelijkheid tot het huren van een instrument van mij. Dit aanbod is echter beperkt, dus gelieve hierover verder informeren bij interesse.

Tegenwoordig - na het doorlopen van een uitgebreide selectieprocedure - is Laurens professioneel actief als klarinettist bij de Koninklijke Muziekkapel van de Marine, één van de prestigieuze orkesten van het Belgisch leger.

Naast zijn opleiding in aan het Koninkijk conservatorium Gent heeft Laurens al verscheidene keren de kans genoten om bij te leren in een aantal masterclasses van o.a. Arno Piters (Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest), Davide Lattuada (Koninklijk Concergebouworkest), Bart de Karter (Nieuw Amsterdams KlarinetKwartet), Pascal Moragues (Orchestre de Paris), Ricardo Mataredonna (De Muntschouwburg), David Van Maele (Koninklijke Muziekkapel van de Gidsen), Bart Watté (Koninklijke Muziekkapel van de Gidsen) etc.

Zowel als freelancer als actief lid heeft Laurens al mee kunnen spelen in diverse orkesten, zoals de Koninklijke Muziekkapel van de Belgische Luchtmacht, Frascati Symphonic, het Euregio Jeugdorkest, het Mahler Student Festival Orchestra, La Chapelle Sauvage, Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen Young, het Gents Universitair Symfonieorkest, het Gents Universitair Harmonieorkest...

Sinds 2021 is Laurens lid van het Meraki Wind Quintet, waarmee hij reeds succesvol kon mee doen aan een aantal competities, waaronder het IMC International Music Competition 2023 (1er Prix à l'unanimité), de Euterpe Music Awards 2022 (gouden prijs), de Classic Pure Vienna International Music Competition 2022 (speciale vermelding), en de Fanny Mendelssohn International Online Competition 2022/23 (tweede prijs).

Hiernaast is Laurens ook actief als dirigent en dit zowel in een symfonische als harmonische orkestbezetting. Hij volgt directielessen bij Kristiina Posska (chef-dirigent Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen), Bart Picqueur (componist en dirigent) en Dimitri Bracke (dirigent) en is zelf actief als vaste dirigent bij de Fantasietjes in de Muziekvereniging Bellegem en freelance bij diverse andere verenigingen.

Hello! I'm David, a spanish flutist. I really enjoy teaching and performing, and I have previous experience as a flute teacher back in Spain, so I would like to have some new students here in Ghent as well. I can also help you with other music stuff like theory, solfege and harmony if you want that. My music lessons are suitable for all level students, from begginers to advanced players, and we can work either in classical repertoire or in any other genre that you'd like (pop, irish, rock).

Lessons can take place face to face in my house or any other point inside of Ghent, or online from the comfort of your own room.

Ik begon viool te spelen op 6-jarige leeftijd en door het studeren bij tal van professoren besefte ik hoe belangrijk een geïndividualiseerde pedagogische benadering is voor een goede ontwikkeling. Mijn doel is om studenten te motiveren om creatief te zijn en te genieten van het spelen van muziek, en hen te helpen hun eigen ideeën te uiten. Een ontspannen en natuurlijke techniek is altijd een van mijn aandachtspunten, om toekomstige blessures te voorkomen en om tijdens het spelen het gemak te vinden waarmee je je muzikaliteit kunt verkennen en je vrij kunt voelen.

My name is Pablo and I am a professional cellist.
In my 20+ years playing the cello I have been lucky to build an international career as a solo and orchestral musician in places like Bremen (Germany), Sweden (Göteborg), Spain (Malaga), and Belgium (Gent). I have 4+ years worth of experience teaching online/in person, in multiple countries, as well as a C1 Cambridge certificate of English. I also have a B1 level of Nederlands. I have music articles published as well.

My philosophy of teaching is to teach my students in a comprehensive way how to use their body 100% efficiently.

I will teach them how to play in the most natural way, getting rid of tensions and fears in the process. I will tackle this as cello technique, but I will also work on being expresive and how to make the cello sing.

Hello everybody! I'm Maria, a graduate in flute performance at master's level. Besides loving to play my instrument, I have a passion for teaching music and flute. I have had experience with children who were starting studying music and flute, including those preparing for their entrance exam to an academy! I have also worked with more advanced students, deepening the improvement of their base and technique in playing the instrument to perfect it always with a very positive working environment!

If you want to start learning to play this instrument, I can be of great help to make your first steps easy and fun! We can learn how to read notes and rythms also, and create a good playing technique with exercises to practice not only in class but also at home.

If you are already a flute student and would like to receive extra support for your lessons at school, I will be happy to work with you to get the most out of the instrument and your musical skills. I love to deepen the student's technique to teach them to work in the most efficient way possible, providing individual study techniques for practicing alone. Ik geef al 10 jaar cello les aan kinderen, tieners en volwassenen, en heb daardoor de nodige ervaring opgedaan om me aan te passen aan de verschillende en persoonlijke behoeften en doelstellingen van elke student. Mijn lesmethode richt zich op het creëren van een vriendelijke en ontspannen omgeving (wat niet betekent dat het onverschillig is!) waarin studenten zich zelfverzekerd voelen om hun eigen ideeën en zorgen te uiten. Winner of the Clarinetissimo Talent Brugge Competition (2017), I’ve collaborated with major orchestras such as La Monnaie / De Munt, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, Brussels Philharmonic, and the Orquesta Filarmonía de Granada, among others.

My lessons combine a strong classical foundation with effective study techniques and mental preparation tools inspired by performance psychology and mindfulness. I help students learn how to practice efficiently, overcome stage anxiety, and connect technique with expression.
Although lessons are personalized to each student's needs, we will focus on:
-Tone production, articulation, breathing, and phrasing;
-Effective study methods and practice routines;
-Interpretation of classical or light music repertoire;
-Stage presence and mindset during performances;
-Mental preparation strategies to reduce anxiety and improve concentration.

I prepare students for:
Conservatory entrance exams
Orchestral and chamber music auditions
Recitals and competitions
Personal artistic development and performance preparation

I have experience teaching students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced players and professionals. I’m a patient, supportive, and motivated teacher, and I truly enjoy guiding each student to reach their full potential while enjoying the process.
