Hi! I'm Lucia. Italian professional young cellist, graduated with highest marks in Italy, now attending the Master Performance at HKB Bern.
I have already experience in teaching cello and music theory for people from 5 to 99 years. I offer individual private Cello lessons and Music Theory lessons, in English, Italian and basic German.

I'm Lucia, young italian professional cellist, I graduated Music (Cello) in Italy with the highest marks and I'm now attending the Master in performance at HKB Bern. I'm also a grad student in Musicology at Cremona University in Italy. I really like to teach people passionate about music. The class is open for people from 5 to 99 years, who would like to discover the world of music

Graduated from a Master's degree at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne and currently studying for a Master's degree in Pedagogy at the Haute Ecole des Arts in Bern, I teach violin and / or music theory at all levels and for all ages!

I think it's important for children that flute lessons are also music education. For beginners, we get to know the breathing technique through creative games, the "blow competition" with crumpled paper balls is particularly popular. We learn the rhythms with claps and rhymes, but I often explain the bar structure by assembling Lego blocks. I show musicality and technique accompanied by songs, improvisation, playing the flute or piano together. You don't even notice, you're so good at it that you can give your family your own concert. And if you already play the flute, bring your favorite pieces, even pop songs, to class! If you're playing with a band, I'll give you ideas and tips. If you already know all the tones, I'll even show you new techniques like whistling or drumming on the flute. There is always something new and surprising on this instrument! My focus is on the styles of rock/pop/jazz and improvisation. I would also be happy to delve into music theory and show you the basics (and beyond...) of harmony.

If you're not a grader, it doesn't matter! My first piano lessons were very note based and almost ruined my playing! I'm a firm believer that playing songs by ear from the start helps us absorb songs faster. I myself come from Aargau, but live and study in Bern at the University of the Arts. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in education. In addition to great chamber music and improvisation projects, I play and organize in the Bern student orchestra. I also have many years of experience with wind orchestras and enjoy leading register rehearsals.
In addition to music, I really enjoy being in nature, for example in the mountains or the refreshing Aare. I also enjoy reading and am interested in psychological topics.

Growing with joy in playing – developing technique through favorite pieces.

One of the most exciting aspects of playing the piano is the ability to play favorite tunes from movies and Disney fairy tales. You can easily learn and play popular songs that both children and adults will enjoy. This makes practicing the piano even more interesting and inspiring, as you can enjoy familiar and beloved melodies.

After obtaining my Master’s degree in performance orientation, I am currently doing my Master's degree in instrumental pedagogy at the Hochschule der Künste in Bern.
