About Me

Each student learns differently, which is why I always adapt my method to each individual's needs, level, and goals. We work on instrumental technique, musicality, rhythm, and listening skills through varied exercises and repertoire.

I come from Saint Petersburg, where I graduated from the classical lyceum "Kikin Hall" and the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory. On the other side, my pedagogical idea is to allow pupils/students to explore themselves and to give them enough space and possibilities to try out, risk, and eventually find their way of communicating.

Also, my aim as a teacher is to show that the process of learning and exploring is always, if done properly, first of all, an exploration of oneself, and therefore, cannot and should not become a dull process of receiving information without an obvious purpose.

My experience as a teacher has shown me that between very young (5-12) and older people (19-27), (the age groups with whom I have worked), there is actually no big difference and that the only thing which separates the teaching process is the approach towards them as personalities.

As I am Hungarian, I studied the Kodály method. It is a rather special method which is characterized by a lot of singing, creativity and rhythmic games, which was invented for the education of the people, not for the musical elite. During the lessons we would do several types of exercises:

- writing exercises
