This is Laura, I am a polyglot translator and language teacher for 10+ years.

Lately, more specifically since the pandemic, I have been experiencing teaching Spanish, Catalan and French online, which turned out to be very easy, fun and convenient for both me and my students. Sometimes we also manage to meet in person and have our class face-to-face, and if desired, I even organize meetings with other students in order to have an opportunity to practice the language together in a fun ambience! :)

Apart from that, I have been trained as an actor in a drama school in Barcelona, so I combine language lessons with being on stage every now and then. So, as you might have guessed, I am quite an extrovert and I'm passionate for communication, in all its forms!

My lessons are fun and always adapted to the students' communication needs. Every class is different as every day is different! In each one of our lessons, we will combine speaking, grammar, reading and and listening as it goes, so that you can have a natural approach to the language, while also following a thorough pedagogical approach.

I like to use different methods to teach French to students. It can be through songs, drama, role play or videos. I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years. I had the opportunity to work in several non-profit organizations (Schola ULB, Youth Club, CIFA, ABEF) where I helped young adolescents understand their subject in French. I also helped them prepare for their exams, including the CEB and CE1D.
