Currently, I reside in Istanbul while I attend Boğaziçi University. I have 3 years of intermittent experience tutoring children of all ages in English; I also have experienced first-hand the education system of an English-speaking country and the application process, i.e. what Universities expect from applicants. I noticed that the current education system favors rote memorization and quantitative skills but tends to overlook skills such as the analysis of a text and the presentation of that analysis that admissions offices of universities abroad and professors teaching at esteemed schools nationally look for.
