Trusted teacher: Learn to play the violin with a methodology adapted to you. A teacher trained in Holland and the United States offers classes for all levels: -Children or adults who want to get started. -Early introduction to the instrument for the youngest children (from 3 years old). -Intermediate profiles who want to advance. -Advanced profiles with professional prospects. -Conservatory entrance exams and recital preparation. -Lessons can be taught in English. More than five years teaching classes to both children and adults of various levels. Extensive experience in early stimulation classes and instrumental introduction with the violin. Classes are adapted to the student and their needs, always trying to make learning develop in a dynamic and fun way. -Face-to-face classes in the center of Madrid with the possibility of coming to your home. -Online classes. -Reinforcement of musical theory. -Classes in Spanish or English. A little more about me: My name is Suely and I obtained my Bachelor's degree in music at the Amsterdam Conservatory where I was able to develop an international vision of music, both as a performer and teacher. After several years living in different countries and participating in international orchestras and festivals, such as the Civic Orchestra of Chicago or the Lucerne Music Festival Academy, I returned to Madrid where I completed my master's degree in solo performance and where I combine my professional career as a violinist, both in orchestras and chamber music, with my other great passion: teaching. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Trusted teacher: I have a Master 2 degree in philosophy and I teach this subject. I am deeply passionate about this field as well as about pedagogy and transmission. It is a real pleasure to help my students improve through this special relationship that is established during the courses. Likewise, I have a real ability to grasp your personality, your strengths and your unique difficulties. My support is completely individualized and I prepare my own courses that respect the official programs. Also, I offer regular follow-up by email. Regarding my methodology, first of all I am keen to get to know my students. The first class is always led by a time of discussion around the student's personal expectations and profile. In addition, it seems absolutely crucial to me to always provide solid methodological bases to all of my learners. This is why a detour via the methods specific to philosophy exercises is systematically made with students preparing for the maturity or the baccalaureate. Then, depending on the specific needs of the student, I adapt the session and it is often structured around two moments: on the one hand, I give a lecture on a concept, an author or conceptual distinctions, and on the other hand I lead practical exercises. Finally, digital documents can be sent to the student later, this is important so that they can keep a record of our work. Feel free to contact me for more information. I travel to homes in the following municipalities: Geneva and its surrounding areas, Collonges-sous-Salève, Archamps, Saint-Julien-en-Genevois, Viry. The courses can also take place by videoconference, in which case there are no travel costs. See you soon. Best regards, Camille

Trusted teacher: Are you interested in violin/viola lessons that are fun and enriching? I have over 10 years experience as a violin and viola teacher and I have a master of Viola Performance and a Bachelor of Music in Violin & Viola Performance and Pedagogy. I have performed across the world, following the music to Australia, New Zealand, China, Singapore, Germany, France, Austria, and Finland. I also compose my own music for myself and my students. It is very important for me as a teacher to support my students to have freedom of self expression and a strong technical foundation on their instrument. I want my students to love music and to love their instrument. We look into music history and listen to a wide range of musical styles. In each lesson I include an improvisation or composing activity so that every student is able to have the chance to share their musical identity and to gain self confidence. In the lessons I encourage my students to analyse the music and to make their own solutions to practice: with younger children musical challenges become small games while for teenagers and adults they are musical puzzles to be solved. I have a focus on freeing the body to play the violin as naturally as possible inspired by how Feldenkrais Technique helped me as a student. I know that it is much more enjoyable to practice when one is pain free and feeling balanced and relaxed. I include a small warm up routine into our lessons and am always careful to introduce new playing techniques with a relaxed posture. Feeling nervous before any kind of public performance is normal and part of being a musician. I encourage all of my students to conquer their fear and to feel wonderful in their playing. It is so important to have a chance to play for others and to share music is a special gift. Visualising, memorising and breathing techniques are part of the confidence boosting preparations for students who would like to give performing a go.

Trusted teacher: History is a subject often considered uninteresting. But I try to design my course according to your needs, your difficulties and even facilities in order to create a course in which you will flourish. Also, I am a student in History and therefore I can help you with the methodology and recommend several books to deepen your subjects. The course will be divided according to the periods: First, Ancient Rome, from Romulus to the death of Nero where we will study the different aspects of Roman life and its politics. We will also study Ancient Greece, also considered the cradle of history with its mythology, daily life and the wars that marked it. The Middle Ages will be studied from the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476. We will go through Clovis, religion but also royalty. Then, we will study the modern era with plague epidemics, life under the old Regime and the different kings as well as their life at court without forgetting the wars of religion and absolutist reigns as well as the History of the English Revolutions . Finally, the contemporary era (where I am most comfortable), where we will study the Catholic Church, the working world but also the global aspects of this period. We will also focus on the two world wars with the civilian impacts they had. If you want a course on the HGGSP, we will follow the program according to the pace you study in class. I would also like to train you orally, by doing some courses, by teaching you to master a PowerPoint and finally by teaching you the methodology of the dissertation, the presentation, the text commentary and finally the bibliography.

Our 12th grade IB student daughter has only had one one-on-one and one online lesson so far and we can say that Maria has gone above and beyond in providing reliable feedback on an IA in HL chem. We are going to continue throughout the pre-exams of IB and see how Maria can help IB revision in SL math, HL bio and perhaps HL physics. Very happy to have met Maria via this platform.

Ghizlane is such a great teacher and really kind with my children (ages 4, 6, 9 & 10) helping them learn Darija in a fun and engaging way. They barely realize they’re learning. So thankful to have found her and be able to learn from her myself. I like how her style of teaching makes learning Arabic feel less daunting and more approachable.
