Trusted teacher: I'm a DJ, producer, and composer. I've been making music since I was very young. I specialized in electronic music quite early on and now make it my profession. I'm half of the Discult Soundsystem duo, managing the Lets Discult label and promoting parties through the label. I also compose music for different types of media such as commercials, video game music, etc. Passionate about DJing above all else, it's behind the decks that I get my kicks the most, and I'd be delighted to pass on my passion! I have my own style of music, but would be more than happy to adapt to yours for learning purposes. --- I perform regularly in Berlin in clubs such as Watergate, Sisyphos, Hoppetosse, RSO, Golden Gate, etc., as well as abroad, most recently in Belgrade, London, Amsterdam, Paris, etc. --- About the course: Sessions last 2 hours and are generally done in a group, of 2-3 people, simply because it's friendlier, cheaper, more dynamic in terms of learning, but above all because you have observation time when another student is practicing, which leads to questions and realizations. The course can also be done in 1-1 if you're more at ease solo, and for a more effective learning experience focused on you and your learning pace, searching/discovering techniques to find new music (dig), organizing your libraries, your playlists and setting up an efficient and intuitive music management system. Lessons take place in my studio, where there are 2 CDJs and 2 vinyl turntables (learning on vinyl is a little more expensive, as records and playback diamonds wear out a lot and need to be replaced regularly). During the course, we'll also cover the theory, values, and precepts of this art form, as well as techniques and tricks of use and creations to enable you to prepare and record your own mixes. --- 📍 My studio is located in Kreuzberg, next to Kottbusser Tor 📍 __ Of course, don't hesitate if you have any practical or technical questions. I am looking forward to playing music with you. Alex

Hello all! I am offering piano lessons in all different styles - Classical, Jazz, Pop, improvisation and Composition - for students of all ages in Dresden. I have been teaching piano to children and adults for 9 years with success in a variety of settings: High school students who have been accepted to music performance and composition programs at University of North Texas, University of Florida, and the Texas Woman’s University Piano institute. I also have students who compose and perform their own songs, passed Trinity College of London music exams with honors, and even an adult student who studied with me to improve his keyboard solos in his rock band. In my teaching philosophy, I like to emphasize that by learning music, we can also develop the skills and discipline to succeed in many other activities. By setting clear goals and consistently following a plan to work towards them, we can achieve success in almost every area of life. By appointment, I also coach students who are interested in taking entrance exams for Musikhochschulen. Lessons can be given in German or English and are currently held at the Hochschule für Musik (Dresden Mitte/Altstadt) or in Neustadt by request. A little about me: I am a concert pianist from the USA, currently studying as a Deutschlandstipendium holder and Meisterklasse student at the Hochschule für Musik Dresden with Professor Hinrich Alpers. I received my Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of North Texas. My recent performances include a performance at the Dresdner Kulturpalast as a soloist with the Heinrich-Schütz-Konservatorium Orchester, Young Artists Klavierabend in the Dresden Frauenkirche, and an upcoming solo concert at Palais Sommer on August 17. I look forward to meeting you and starting our musical journey together!

Trusted teacher: Do you wish to learn writing music from scratch or improve your composition skills without a necessity of music theory knowledge? Do you want to produce your own music but struggle with the technical aspects? I'm a multi-instrumentalist singer, songwriter and performer and I offer applied classes on writing/arranging/producing pieces of music using various instruments of your choice, including your computer. I use a 'learning by creating' method, where we focus and go deeper on certain aspects depending on your needs on your music creation process. I like to use personalised methods that matches your desires, rather than following a certain curriculum. The goal is to help you gain or improve awareness on how a piece of music is written and learn various ways to begin and finalise a writing process. During our practices, I will naturally be transferring my knowledge on certain aspects such as: - Rhythm - Form - Dynamics - Texture - Melody making - Singing - Guitar playing - Placing words into music/making music around words - Improvisation as a compositional tool - Integration of Ableton Live into creative process - Recording - Mixing During the sessions, we'll either write together from scratch or work on your own material and tackle the issues of constructing a piece of music. Please contact me if interested, then we will have a first video call where we get to meet each other and discuss where you stand and your wishes. This way I can create a personalised program that suits your level and speaks to your area of interest.
