My grandfather was a musicologist and conductor in Germany, my father performed in a symphony orchestra for over 25 years, and my aunt directed a music conservatory for 30 years. Music has been part of my life from an early age and shapes my teaching approach today. My teaching style is patient, structured, and supportive. My lessons combine practical playing with music theory, so students not only improve technically but also develop a deeper understanding of music. Depending on the students' goals, the lessons can also include rhythm training, ear training, and improvisation. I also enjoy working with students who are interested in the creative side of music, including composition, songwriting, and arrangement. I believe that learning music should be fun, and I adapt my lessons to the wishes and needs of the students. Lessons are available for children and adults, from absolute beginners to advanced students.

My teaching style takes a holistic approach towards musicianship through mastering fundamental skills and knowledge, providing students with the confidence to write, perform and improvise both independently and alongside fellow musicians. Lessons are typically 45 minutes to 1 hour as this provides enough time to both explain and practice musical concepts. I have spent a number of years teaching both privately and in schools to a wide range of ages and skill levels across Saxophone, Guitar and Music Theory, from young beginners all the way to other music University graduates looking to hone their skills. This course aims to cultivate students’ richer musical expressions, essential basic playing techniques, musical knowledge and music reading skills in order to enjoy playing the saxophone or flute as a beginner with some simple pieces. For the intermediate level, we will enhanced your skill in playing with fun.
