Saxophone and/or music theory for all levels and ages!
My name is Malu and I am a classic and contemporary saxophonist from Spain. I started playing saxophone at age 8, and since then this instrument has taken me to many wonderful places in my life! I studied my Bachelor in Zaragoza with professor Mariano García and now I am studying my Master’s degree in the ZHdK in Zürich in the class of Lars Mlekusch. In the field of teaching I have 3 years of experience in Spain: I used to teach saxophone and theory in a Music School and I also used to give private lessons. I consider myself very open when it comes to teach: I like to personalize my teaching depending on the student’s level, goals and tastes, although I always remain confidently when it comes to the playing technique. It will make you love your instrument (trust me!). I’ve worked with both children and adults of different levels and also different styles. Last but not least: my main goal is for the students to develop their creativity! I love when a student is curious and lively and challenges me to know better how music and my instrument works. Lessons can be in your home or at Pfingstweidstrasse.

Cooper
Learn Music with Cooper: Sax, Flute, Clarinet, Bass Guitar, Harmonica
I teach saxophone, clarinet, flute, harmonica, and bass guitar online(virtually). I think it's very important from the beginning to find your individual voice on your instrument. Technique is important, but it will be taught simultaneously with artistic voice. One of the great things about music is being to express your version of yourself on your instrument. What's the point in learning scales if you can't play the song you want to play? From day one, we will focus on all aspects of learning, and of music, at the same time. I'm super patient and I love to teach, and I'll cater my teaching style to the individual student. I look forward to teaching you! About me: I started playing music when I was I ten. I was awarded a partial scholarship to the University of Idaho's Lionel Hampton School of Music where I majored in Classical Saxophone Performance, where I won the Outstanding Jazz Soloist award (2004). I then received a partial scholarship to the Berklee College of Music and studied there with a principal instrument of saxophone, and graduated with a degree in Contemporary Writing and Production in 2009. I've spent the last ten years performing full-time, on cruise ships (Carnival, Princess, Holland-America, Celebrity, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, The World), land tours (iLa Mawana national tour), theatre productions (For The Record: The Brat Pack, Broadway's After Midnight), and independent bands (Samsaya Trio, Vivian Clement Quartet). My performing experience has taken me to 70 countries and all seven continents. I've self-recorded and self- produced multiple albums. I've been featured as an arranger in many settings, including Robert McFletcher's LOVE. I have three of my own shows (A Public Saxophone and other Bedtime Stories, Just Sax, and CBSAXLIVE). While I studied saxophone as my primary instrument, I also play flute, clarinet, harmonica and bass guitar at a professional level. My degree is in composition and recording/production, so I would love to help anyone getting started in that area. I also teach music theory for those interested in learning theory.

I am also a qualified music teacher for Italian middle school, with a solid preparation in the psycho-pedagogical field. As a teacher, I believe that any student has different ways to learn and approach music. Therefore, I will create for you a personalized but also funny and engaging learning path that would fit perfectly with your inclinations and musical tastes! My method consist in alternating the study of the instruments with some music theory. In this way, you will comprehend what you are playing, using the so-called method "learning by doing", for a gradual and steady learning. My approach includes also the use of little percussions, body movements and singing, in accord with the tradition of Orff, Kodaly and Dalcroze methods. I will also start teaching you from any songs you already know - it will surprise you seeing how many things you already know about music! You will see how funny is it to learn music in this way! For any level and any age! WHAT YOU WILL LEARN - How to play the saxophone, with focus on posture, embouchure, air steam, sound, technique, top tones etc; - Or how to compose, from songwriting to orchestra's writing, including counterpoint, orchestration and analysis; - How to improvise, without becoming a "music stand addict"; - Music theory lessons step by step with the instrument development; - Playing with others: you will play with your teacher (me!) in a saxophones duet or in a piano and saxophone duet. If you have a fellow musician, bring it for a group lesson! I will make some music arrangements to play all together. WHAT YOU WILL GET - If you don't have a saxophone (yet); a saxophone for the first lesson with possibility of rent; - Digital didactic material; - Professional and serious teacher; - Possibility of group lesson; - Friendly environment; - A cup of tea to better start the lesson :) For any other informations, video, recording etc visit: www.carlorossimusic.com

Guillermo
Clarinet and Saxophone classes online to develop your own musicality
In the classes we will address the different elements that make up music in different styles, knowing the particular language of each one. To do this, we will work on the different tools that we have with each instrument at the level at which each one is. We all know music but many times they make us believe that no, that it is necessary to know how to read and write. That is the graphic part of the language that we will learn little by little, music is a compendium of many other things. Some that we already know and others to know. We will study the use of the keys and the positions of the clarinet, or the sax, the best way to position ourselves whether we play standing or sitting, the most efficient way to use the air, the diaphragm, the muscles. We will learn to form a good embouchure and we will develop a study method adapted to each one, according to their tastes, possibilities and interests. I work with boys and girls from different parts of the world as well as with adults and the elderly. In my experience I learned that, truly, the greatest limitation that we find ourselves is the very feeling of not being able, of believing that we cannot. The support of a dedicated teacher is essential to get out of those places where we accidentally enter and that sometimes limit us. We all feel that sometime. It is time for us to remedy it. I will provide my own materials in pdf, video and audio. There is no age limit.

Bastien
Classical-contemporary saxophone (Included: approach to improvisation, harmonic understanding and basic music theory)
🎓 Graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. 🎷 My courses mix practical aspects and theoretical notions, according to the interests of the student, to whom I adapt to offer them a course which really provides them with the elements which will allow them to quickly flourish in the musical field. 👨‍🏫 With 8 years of experience teaching non-profit organizations and in particular, I am used to training students of all ages, beginners and advanced alike. 🕺I am open to a large number of musical styles, current or old, focusing my artistic approach on an "all-musical" (by mastering the codes of harmony and melody, it is possible to understand and apprehend any new style of music) 🎶 I currently specialize in mastering the Saxophone, in a classical and contemporary repertoire. But also, I am very open to improvisation, the practice of which I strongly encourage during classes, as well as live music such as jazz (swing, bossa, fusion, etc.). Some parentheses are possible on electronic styles (D&B, Dubstep, Lofi, House,..) ✅ My final goal is to allow the student to express their ideas in music, and for them to evolve and flourish in what they truly like. 🐣 I take beginners without any knowledge of music theory. I am available in: * Brussels region. * Region of Tournai occasionally. * Online, via webcam lessons
