Hello!
My name is Klara and I am a 19 year old university student currently studying at Hotelschool The Hague. How did I get here? Well, let me tell you. I was born in Germany and raised bilingually (English and German) in the UK. When I was 8, my family moved to Switzerland which is where I picked up French as my third language. In high school I then went on to learn a little bit of Italian and Spanish and now I am in the Netherlands, slowly picking up some useful language tips from the lovely people surrounding me. I have a true passion for languages and truly believe that multilingualism is an extremely valuable skill. My dream is to inspire and motivate others to learn more languages from a young age onwards. I won't lie, it is difficult and demanding but then again, if it was easy then everyone would be able to do it. Lessons are provided to children and teenagers. Lessons are customized to the learning needs of your child. Whether that be learning English for the first time or practicing improvement of speaking, reading, comprehension, pronunciation, listening, writing, grammar, etc. Lessons can be aimed towards learning a topic such as food, animals, sports, emotions, and more.

For children who are fluent English speakers, tutoring can be given to further excel in particular areas. Subjects that interest the student such as science, history or world topics can be incorporated into the lesson to broaden their knowledge. Support can also be provided in learning organizational skills, research, and mini projects for older children. I am available to help with studying, homework, or school projects. For online learning, I use a variety of platforms, websites, educational games, and e-books to reach the learning goals of my students. Additional homework can be provided if requested.

I explain the grammar by giving you the rules and examples from everyday life and from pop music.
We will make exercises from your own workbook to see if you understand it and you can learn from mistakes so that you don't make them again on your test.
We will also practice reading texts from old exams because that will be your final exam later on.

My name’s Tom, and I’m an English teacher from southeast England, based in the Hague, Netherlands. I teach English learners how to communicate more clearly.

I have taught for various schools and agencies in the Netherlands and been frustrated by the lack of high-quality materials and expertise in the pronunciation teaching field. So in 2021 I set up my freelance teaching business to change the situation.

I have over 12 years of teaching experience, and I have a master's degree in Linguistics from Leiden University, specialising in methods for teaching English pronunciation. I am trained in speech analysis software, which is a highly effective (and fun!) tool that helps learners not only hear but also visualise their mistakes.

I speak Finnish (my mum's side is from Finland), Mandarin Chinese (I lived in Taiwan for six years) and French (because I love the sound of it).
