Hello! My name is Diana and I am a concert pianist with over 9 years experience in teaching. I studied piano performance (Pre-College, Bachelor’s and Master’s) at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg and graduated with honors. Since 2016 I have been increasingly focusing on my pedagogical activity. Whether you are a beginner or you’re more experienced, everybody is welcome, regardless of age. In my teaching, my main goal is to help you find joy in making music, develop a healthy, efficient technique and a deeper understanding of the way music works. I am generally very flexible/adaptive and I try to support my students in making consistent progress and reaching their own individual goals. "Piano Strings" for Cover Artistry is a special course for complete beginners and advanced piano or keyboard players, who wants to explore, play and create a unique arrangement of their favourite song. Genres: Classical music, Pop, World music. The course is progressively made of ear training, piano playing, basics of music theory, harmony, arranging, singing and performing as a summary of learned skills. Coaching is taking place on acoustic piano, E-piano as well as keyboard. Lessons are taking place per Zoom or Skype for now.

I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.
