Passionate about teaching, I have devoted a large part of my time to it for 10 years with varied experiences in France and Argentina. Whatever the age of the student, beginner level or confirmed, I offer private lessons of violin and viola. No knowledge or musical notion is necessary beforehand, the theoretical achievements are made as and when the discovery of the instrument.

Graduated from the Conservatories of Strasbourg (DEM jazz, and 3rd cycle in classical) and the Jazz Institute of Berlin (License and Master), active musician on the French and German stages, I also developed a solid educational experience, and taught in music school in parallel with private lessons for many years. All styles can be approached in class (jazz, soul, funk, hip-hop, reggae, blues, classical etc ...). Topics such as improvisation, music theory, harmony and composition are possible and encouraged. Hello! I am a professional violinist and have a passion for music, especially classical though I also love jazz and other styles. I teach people of every age and experience and from absolute beginner to conservatoire level and beyond. I love working with children and for the past three and a half years I was working full time in Glasgow city primary and secondary schools, teaching individually, in groups, coaching chamber music ensembles and conducting the council orchestras (winning 1st prize, School Orchestra Category, Glasgow Music Festival 2018). My students so far have achieved 100% pass rate in state SQA exams in Scotland and in all ABRSM exams). Lessons are tailored to the individual needs of the students, and I believe that we learn most effectively when we are having fun! I have experience with students of all ages and I believe that there is no right age to start learning to play an instrument. I adapt my lessons to the objectives and tastes of each student. I am a professional violinist. I graduated with distinction at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Master) and hold a Bachelor Diploma from Codarts (Rotterdam). I also pursued a masters degree in Music Education at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I teach students of all ages and levels. I have thirteen years of teaching experience in the Netherlands and in Belgium ( privately and at music schools/muziekacademies). In my lessons I help the students to find a good contact with the instrument and cultivate a positive relationship with music by integrating the development of aural skills, sense of rhythm and an optimal body use, enabling them to connect with their musical imagination. The lessons are adapted to each student's needs and wishes.

No matter if you are interested in learning to play your favourite tunes just for fun or want to build up strong, solid technique and play demanding repertoire, I would be happy to work with you.The world of music is incredibly rich and I would love to help you on the exciting journey of discovering it. For those interested, I can also gladly include some music theory/music history knowledge in the lessons, to understand the pieces on a more profound level. Your body is your instrument when singing. We try to make that instrument sound as beautiful as possible by working on sound formation. This allows the vocal cords to move more freely, so that you get tired less quickly when singing. Your voice becomes fuller and you can sing higher and lower notes. During the singing lessons we also work on articulation, the pronunciation of foreign languages and also on the meaning of and your feelings about a particular piece. Of course you decide what kind of music you will sing. Whether you sing alone in the shower or whether you are in a choir and encounter certain difficulties in general or with a specific piece? Please feel free to bring your choir part to class and we will see together how we can make this easier for you. We work on repertoire that you love. We can also make a journey of discovery together to your favorite music. WHO CAN LEARN TO SING? Everyone can learn to sing. Because of the singing lessons you will notice that singing becomes easier. Moreover, singing is good for relaxation, both of body and mind. Singing is just enjoying! YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT As a singer you already have one advantage over instrumentalists: you do not have to buy an (expensive) instrument. You always have your instrument with you, but... you have to take good care of your instrument!

We gaan niet alleen kijken naar de stem maar ook naar 'Hoe sta ik op een podium?' of 'Hoe verminder ik stress?'. Ik ga dus ook kijken naar de mentale en emotionele aspecten. Ik help je verder op basis van al mijn muzikale bagage die ik ondertussen zelf verder uitbereid!
