I cater to each student's individual needs and capabilities. I help with school by also adding in my own worksheets to complete together which relates to the current work that they are covering In their syllabus. Each student is individual and would there be treated the way that they would learn in an optimal manner.

I would spend a lot more time with the students before exams to ensure that they have a decent understanding of every topic that may appear in the exam. I often use past paper examples as a way of preparation. Considering my own international schooling, I do very much understand the high level of requirements of some syllabus.
Extra information
If your school which you need help with is on your laptop, it would be best if you could bring your laptop. Alternatively, if you simply have a specific topic that you struggle with, I can provide worksheets on those for us to do together

About Me
I am from South Africa . I grew up in Dubai, the UK and Ethiopia and so there for have a very International upbringing. I myself completed the Cambridge IGSE as well as the IB curriculum. I then went onward to complete my Bachelors in Civil Engineering Degree from the University of Stellenbosch. I worked as an Engineer and as Planner for many years before starting to give a little more attention my love for math and physics. This has now formed a big part of my life since it has always been my main interest. In the last two years, especially with a lot of kids being home schooled, I decided to give this a try. Given my history in Civil Engineering, I was and am capable of using real life experiences to explain basic concepts.
Education
University of stellenbosch, 4 year degree, civil engineering as a major. Later did a masters in construction management. In my studies I did a lot a lot of maths, physics, management and people skills which has greatly helped me throughout my career. Maths however remains my first true love.
Experience / Qualifications

In School I did IGCSE and IB
Worked as a civil engineer since then worked as a planner for many different companies in many different countries

I graduated with a Master in Management Engineering (with great distinction) and Master in International Management CEMS (with great distinction also). I offer math tutoring to high school and college students during the summer months.

The objective is to get to know the student, to reassure him, to work on his gaps together and to make sure that he / she succeeds brilliantly passing exams or works. I am a very nice teacher who is used to working with children. I have indeed been running for years and I had the chance to be a scout leader for 3 years. In addition, I am a serious and dedicated person, preparing my classes in advance and doing my best to guarantee your success.

I'd like to help as much people as possible in either Maths, Physics. I'm a French native speaker.
I'd start by giving a general introduction to the topic, and then we would start doing some practice to answer to the student's question. That, of course, would depend on the student and it's way of thinking.

Hi, I'm a Chemical Engineering student at Imperial College London. I specialise in tutoring High-school Maths, Chemistry and Physics, more specifically for the International Baccalaureate (IB). I am an alumni of the British School of Brussels (BSB) where I have also worked as a math assistant. I aim to accomplish whatever my students goal is, wether that be a 7 in HL maths etc... This means that each of my tutoring sessions are tailor made depending on each of my students needs.

I specialize in finding and teaching the students the basic concepts that are not well understood. In my experience, I realize that once we find and solve those deficits, the student learning rate increases greatly. My method is to use tailored exercises for the particular situation of the students, challenging them in a positive and realistic way. I have good knowledge about international baccalaureate programs as well as university entry level exams.

Having conducted international-level experimental and theoretical scientific research for many years (PhD University of Cambridge, National Physical Laboratory, Max-Planck Institute, KUL, and UCL) I offer tailored and adaptive tutoring in mathematics, chemistry, and physics.

My main focus is in helping those pupils in their final two years of school who are preparing for university. I also specialize in preparing students for the Belgian medical entrance exam by actually solving the problems of all the past entrance exams and providing tips and insight for rapidly homing in on the correct answers.

My philosophy is that science and mathematics can be related to each person's everyday experience. I try to provide insight and solid foundations so that students will not have to rely heavily on blindly memorizing large sections of their courses.

[COVID-19] Online courses possible with graphics tablet or other device to display notes on the screen.

My methodology can be summed up in one sentence:
Ensure an in-depth understanding of the subject, in order to be armed to face any type of exercise and problem.

In science subjects, understanding is essential for success.

So I start with a new student by making an inventory of his knowledge, in order to then be able to build step by step on it and arrive at the set objectives.

My goal is that at the end of my lessons, the pupil can not only redo the same type of exercises as seen together, but can also on the basis of his knowledge come to solve exercises of a new kind.

MY JOURNEY
I am a student in the 1st year of a master's degree in civil engineering at the ULB, with a biomedical sciences orientation.

I have been giving private lessons for 3 years now, and can teach mathematics, physics, statistics, mechanics, and other scientific branches.

I can teach at the same time for pupils of primary, secondary and beginning of university.

Since I was 14, I have studied immersion in English in science subjects, and can therefore also teach these subjects in English for students whose lessons are given in English.

As an alumna of the European School of Brussels III and a recent First-Class Honours graduate from The Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) with a Master’s in Engineering and Architecture, I offer tutoring support to students of all levels. I’m especially familiar with the European School curriculum, GCSEs, and the International Baccalaureate, and I teach Maths and Physics at any level.

I currently tutor several students and have experience tailoring lessons to individual needs. I teach in English, Spanish, Italian, and German, and I can be contacted in those languages as well as French.

Here’s how my lessons work:
Once a student reaches out, we schedule a day and time. They send me the topics they’d like to cover, along with any class notes, past exams, or homework. I review the material in advance and prepare tailored exercises so we can make the most of our time together. During the session, we work through everything collaboratively, and I often assign additional exercises or homework to reinforce learning.

I take notes live during the lesson on my iPad, and afterwards, I share a complete PDF with everything we covered. If there’s something we didn’t get to, I make sure to finish it and send it over as soon as possible.

There’s truly no better feeling than seeing a student gain confidence and succeed in a subject they once found difficult.

I have 30+ years of experience in tutoring in parallel to my career as an engineer and a business consultant. As I am not traveling anymore, I can use these assets to help students in tutoring and making assignments from a distance besides my consulting work. I am based in Brussels.
My explanations are always based on daily life applications, as I have been using most topics in my professional career (I started as a basic nuclear engineer).
They get a ‘toolbox’ of easy-to-use tips and hands-on methods to solve problems, resulting in good marks.
For Business Studies, I also use my broad experience as a business consultant: I still coach and train Engineers into Business & Sales engineers with a few Scandinavian technical companies since 1995.

Courses for upper secondary school students of any option as well as university students having difficulties in science.

I have a Master's degree in physics with a teaching focus from ULB. I therefore have the agrégation (a teaching qualification) and am a secondary school teacher, and as mentioned, I hold a Master's degree in physics.

I place great importance on understanding the student's difficulties and overcoming them with them. I often start with a short reminder to put everything back in place, then I go through the student's course with them, redoing the exercises and inventing examples, while adapting the level of difficulty so that the session is productive. Finally, if desired, I leave exercises as homework to ensure that the student is able to test themselves and apply the concepts seen in class. The student can send me this homework, which I correct for free, with feedback.
