As a biologist myself, I use a hands-on approach that ofter refers to everyday life to teach the basics of scientific disciplines, ranging from biology to chemistry, to physics and earth science. This class is especially tailored to young students up to high school level, but anyone is more than welcome to join: knowledge is meant to share!

Présentation

I'm a marine biology master's student at RUG, graduated in Biology Science, especially anything related to the ocean is my daily routine as you can tell.
I worked a lot in scientific divulgation in the past few years with both children and adults, because I think knowledge is something that should be made easy and shared.
Also, I tend to bring some good italian savoir-faire in my classes, as I understand not every student has the same needs but anyone can learn!
I love scuba diving, open air activities and new adventures: if you share any passion with me, we could get along well.

Modern languages high school diploma at Erasmo da Rotterdam high school.
Bachelors' in biology at University of Milano-Bicocca, Milano.
Current Marine Biology student at RUG, Groningen.

Previous scientific divulgator for different parks and acquariums in my home town. During summer, I work directly in the water with snorkeling excursions to share my passion and knowledge about the sea. Previous tutor for children and teenagers up to 18.

Italian for everybody! Grammar, literature and more with a native speaker

You have reached the end of your education and you are going to conclude it with a research report or thesis. You've worked on your topic for a while, collected most of the data, and you already know quite a bit about it, but now everything has to come into a well-written and logically structured story. That can be tricky, but I can help you with that! During my career at the universities of Utrecht and Groningen I supervised many students in subjects such as ecology and environmental sciences. I also really enjoy interdisciplinary thinking and working, for example by connecting scientific topics with business administration and/or policy questions, resulting in an advisory report for a company or government.
After my retirement from university in 2019, I also supervised students from other disciplines such as history and geography. Perhaps most importantly, I really enjoy using my broad experience to help motivated students.

As a second year medical student, I have an abundance of experience with learning mathematics and sciences. I took all three sciences and maths in my IBDP Diploma. Now, I am continuing to extensively develop my science and maths knowledge in my medicine course.

Maths and sciences are very interesting and important subjects, but can be quite challenging to learn independently. My tutoring is focussed on providing clear, structured, organised and engaging lessons to help with any confusion. I tailor my lessons to the students needs and encourage them to be active in their own learning through means of practice questions. I am someone who is kind, attentive, motivated and hard-working and these attributes come across in my tutoring sessions.

As a recent IB graduate with a score of 44/45 (All 7's in the Sciences and Maths), I know how to master the content of the IB diploma in a smart way. Since the IB diploma covers a very universal curriculum and my knowledge of sciences/maths is solid, I can also help in tutoring of other systems.
