My method is based on each student in particular. It doesn't matter what your level is, I enjoy teaching people who have a commitment to music and art. The main topics we'll work on are: Recognizing the guitar fingerboard, technique, sound, ear training, transcribing, harmony and harmony applied to the instrument, and reading and studying the instrument through the music you like and chose.

I graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Jazz voice studies and prior to that studied Rock and Pop performance in Vocaltech in London. I have a wide range of knowledge and experience from running group singing to one-to-one tuition. I tailor my approach to each student individually and therefore work with people of all ages and experience levels. My focus with students is on vocal technique across genres including Musical Theatre, Rock, Pop, and Folk, Jazz. I’m very passionate about songwriting and composition and working with text to deliver heartfelt performances and connect to the text. I do regular performances (cafe jazz, corporate events, flute, and tankard) in Wales and outside of dragon land, which provides me with great performance knowledge. I play guitar and piano so the lessons can be accompanied by me or we can use a backing track. I do believe that everybody can learn the principles of singing. It’s a free of judgment area- let’s have some fun and learn.

Like with languages, intuition plays a huge part in learning an instrument. Most often in music, the correct choice will the the one that ~feels~ the most natural. This is what my teachers, from when I was a kid, all the way to the end of my studies at the conservatory, have prioritized in lessons; Working less hard to sound better. I’m here to help you in the same way, to decipher with you certain sounds, certain gestures in recorder playing, so that we can map out together your skill set, and eventually find your own style of play. When it comes to the grammar part of music, I’m ready to teach you everything about reading notes, intervals, chords, and all the principles of music theory, with examples and fun exercises. I am a very patient person, and have experience with beginners as well as “matured” amateurs :) I hold a masters in early music, along with a bachelors in classical composition. My dream is to live from composition mainly, writing music for concerts, film and ballet. Currently I’m working on a ballet commission from the Schauspielhaus in Zurich, and more original music for a series of concerts next summer in France. I also worked in the booking and management area. How valuable it can be to improve your guitar playing by taking lessons, I myself have found out from various teachers (rock, blues, reggae, swing, acoustics) and courses (music theory). Hello! My name is Kenny and I am a jazz/contemporary guitarist in Berlin, Germany. I offer lessons in a wide range of musical styles ranging from beginners to advanced students. My goal is to help every student discover their musical voice and have fun! I've been playing guitar for over 15 years and studied Jazz Guitar Performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston. I've been an active performer most of my life and currently perform with my wife in the duo "Sara and Kenny."
